  • Kira and Ryan have been having an affair. She is single, he wasn’t–but he’s recently told his girlfriend about her and broken off his relationship. She was fine with it just being a non-committal fling, but now he needs a place to stay and is talking about things becoming more serious.

The CN team produces frequent news stories ever day of the working week, as well as a monthly print magazine focused on strategic business topics. The CN brand is long established and has a loyal and highly engaged audience of paying subscribers, as well as a large volume of online visitors.

As Production Editor you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality of CN’s output, working to ensure that everything we publish across digital and print outlets is readable, informative and accurate – and also grabs the reader’s attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support CN’s core goal of delivering news and feature material of consistently high quality, meeting the information needs of our audience across print, digital and social media platforms
  • Speedy, accurate copy editing of articles in WordPress for online publication, applying a consistent style and optimising the use of different page elements to convey information and draw attention
  • Production editing of CN’s monthly print magazine, overseeing all pages through from initial layout through proofing to final press
  • Working with the editorial team and freelance designers to create high-impact print layouts and imaginative cover concepts
  • Assisting CN’s news team in the preparation of daily email newsletters
  • Scheduling the publication of content to appear at the most effective times
  • Planning ahead to ensure CN always has sufficient production capacity, booking freelance subs and designers as required within budgets set by the editor
  • Promoting CN content through appropriate social media channels
  • Monitoring analytics and reporting back to the wider CN team on a regular basis

Skills and Requirements:

  • We are looking for a capable production professional who is keen to take charge of print and digital output
  • Ideally, you will have experience of subbing news and features for a fast-paced B2B publication
  • The role includes sub-editing and fact-checking, so both a keen eye and sharp mind will be essential, as you will typically be the last person to touch a story before publication
  • You will also require the confidence to question reporters and editors whenever copy is unclear
  • Basic layout skills would be an asset, as would an eye for effective picture selection
  • An interest in the built environment or experience with a technical, financial or business publication would be useful
  • You will have or will need to develop expertise in interpreting web analytics
  • Familiarity with using social media to support a subscriber publication would also be welcome

Founder Mitchel Galvin-Farnol identified a gap in the market for clean, simple, quality contemporary casual-wear and streetwear. Growing over the last few years, NICCE has become a recognisable lifestyle brand influenced by the ever-changing culture and rich music scenes of London.

In 2022, NICCE will evolve through its direct-to-consumer retail model, investment in product range and plans to grow the brand – placing a greater focus on movement, wellness and sustainability.

NICCE are recruiting a Senior Creative Producer to lead the brand’s content and production requirements. This role will report into the Head of Marketing, whilst playing a pivotal role across the business.

Main Responsibilities

As part of an in-house design and creative production set-up, the Senior Creative Producer will manage a team responsible for delivering creative and production solutions for all business and brand communication, including branding, marketing, sales tools and retail/eCommerce content requirements.

Creative

 

  • Partner with founder and/or external creative consultant(s) to translate the brand’s creative direction into guidelines that govern product design, content creation and channel specific content needs.
  • Continually uphold brand identity and guidelines, elevating creative standards across the business.
  • Evolve the company’s approach to creative production, including the use of external parties and optimisation of creative output across the business.
  • Translate creative briefs from the business into production and design tasks.
  • Support briefing of external creative agencies for top tier campaigns.
  • Creative ideation for low-tier, seasonal and non-consumer facing content.
  • Organise creative reviews and approvals.
  • Line manager of in-house graphic designers.

 

Production

 

  • Own the end-to-end production process across all business briefs
  • Assemble and book the full production team and talent.
  • On-shoot Creative Producer role, as well as Art Direction on smaller shoots
  • Manage and develop the Creative Production Assistant
  • Manage the annual production budget, including agreed scope of work with external suppliers / agency.
  • Guide the business’ wider business production needs; including event and retail production.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Passionate about creative, fashion, retail, and production
  • Established network of creative and production contacts and suppliers
  • Able to ideate and concept, bring new ideas to the group, whilst ensuring slick production and operational excellence to make it happen
  • Confidently manage multiple shoot timelines simultaneously
  • Can work under pressure, prioritise and manage tight deadlines
  • Desire to be hands on and holds ability to problem solve
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Collaborative and can build relationships cross functionally
  • Understanding of the NICCE brand and customer
  • Able and willing to travel locally, which can be at short notice and on occasion outside of traditional work hours
  • Team management experience – recruitment, training and development of personnel

 

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in shoot production
  • Proven success producing for fashion and lifestyle clients and brands, across stills, motion and integrated projects. From concept, right through to delivery
  • Interest and/or experience in creative strategy and branding
  • Experience in-house at a brand is advantageous
  • IRL activation and event experience preferable

The Creative Events Producer role focuses on delivery of events, mailers and activations for major brand and high-profile clients. The role will take responsibility for both event logistics and creative on projects of varying sizes and be responsible for on-going client account management including securing new commercial opportunities. 

We are looking for an experienced Creative Events Producer to join the team who enjoys agency life and thrives working to tight deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to come up with wild creative, for great brands at a high pace – whist shaping the company and making our work famous and the ‘go-to’ in the industry. 

The role includes: 

  • The role is ‘end to end’ from brief, pitch and throughout the project lifecycle from development to delivery
  • The role is client facing & requires excellent account management skills to maintain and build client relationships
  • Identifying appropriate on brand and on budget venues
  • Developing creative from mood boarding to set design and dressing
  • Planning and producing a variety of events ranging from small workshops to larger experiential, press days, product launches and mailer activations
  • Assisting on some elements of marketing, PR, branding, trade shows to promote Heaps + Stacks

Experience

Supplier Management

You will have managed third-party suppliers (i.e. promotional staff, artists/specialists, Venue contracts) and external freelance support whilst demonstrate extensive knowledge of the events industry (venues, caterers, launches, experiential and promotional events).

Project Management

Writing compelling presentations, producing schedules and itineraries required for event delivery

Financial control and management of large-scale logistics budgets (e.g. between £5k and £300k)

Skills and Attributes

  • In depth experience as an event producer within a similar size & quality organisation
  • Expert knowledge of all event elements including managing the process and timeline, venue sourcing, food and beverage, staff management and transport
  • Proven capability to input into projects budgets; up to £300,000
  • Third party supplier management including managing relationships
  • Team leadership experience, ability to line manage, mentor team members and motivate jr team members
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Resilient under pressure with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy & adhere to high standards of quality when working to tight deadlines
  • Proficient and experienced user of Microsoft Office suite is essential, particularly Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Strong track record in very detailed experimental events for high-profile brands
  • Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Add to the supplier data base with interesting artists and designers etc
  • Actively help with new business via send outs, meetings and pitches
  • Have excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal and written) and proven ability to manage client expectations and ensure exceptional levels of service quality
  • Our office is based in Vauxhall so must be able to travel there when required and able to work unusual hours if required (normal hrs 9.30-6 each day unless stated otherwise)

  • Have an interest in sustainability, materiality and look at experience production with a future focused and environmental lens

Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
