Job Summary

The Director of Concessions will lead the team who creates unforgettable experiences. As Director of Concessions, you will be responsible for managing the concessions department to achieve the best possible guest experience, partner satisfaction and financial results. Detailed Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of concessions operations
  • Ensuring the recruitment and training of team members in our standards and procedures
  • Working with the location leadership team to continually drive improvements in guest satisfaction and financial results
  • Driving engagement within the concessions department
  • Overseeing all aspects of season planning and event preparation in the concessions department to ensure maximum event readiness
  • Ensuring point of sale updates and regular maintenance checks are completed
  • Completing calorific analysis of menu items in partnership with the culinary team
  • Ensuring the timely implementation and communication of promotions
  • Overseeing loss prevention activities including managing cash drops/collection, completing cash variance logs, and overseeing the nightly Goods Out of Stock (GOS) procedure
  • Working in partnership with other departments to ensure accurate completion of the requisition process
  • Working with the culinary and purchasing team to ensure regular updates to the concessions theoretical matrix to ensure accurate theoretical margin calculations
  • Ensuring compliance with all Payment Card Information rules
  • Implementing concessions Production Sheet to ensure accurate production and minimal wastage
  • Conducting progressive coaching with team members
  • Completion of monthly financial reporting and action planning
  • Ensuring regular maintenance, cleaning and inspection of all concessions areas and equipment
  • Ensuring all appropriate alcohol service signage is placed and that Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols are followed
  • Completion and processing of alcohol incident logs to identify recurring issues or trends
  • Managing team member meal breaks
  • Overseeing recruitment activities for team members and non-profit groups
  • Holding pre-shift meetings to set the tone for events
  • Support location “Keys to the Future” activities to develop future leaders
  • Support team member orientation training
  • Lead NPO Group management and communication
  • Oversee service standards during events to ensure a high level of the guest experience
  • Ensuring accurate end of month inventory completion
  • Partnering with purchasing team to manage product transfers and requisition sheets to accurately track products during events
  • Managing and resolving guest complaints
  • Managing team member incidents/accidents and following all required reporting procedures
  • Managing the onboarding of new management employees in line with our #bestdayever process
  • Conduct monthly safety training for team members
  • Managing team member scheduling in line with demand forecasts
  • Verifying payroll, entering gratuities
  • Subcontractor communications – ensure they have all correct paperwork in, scheduled properly, staffing has done appropriate trainings, etc.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of month-end inventory for the concessions department
  • Completing building walkthroughs during events
  • Working with location partners to manage the implementation standards agreed through sponsorship deals
  • Supporting other locations/properties, as needed

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a food and beverage operational position
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedule

What you will be doing

Dentsu Media Service Line delivers to Local & International clients the right blend of services to build their brands and drive conversion, by bringing together media planning, buying and performance to create a world-class end-to-end service and product in media.

The purpose of this role is to lead Innovation projects and related activity in one or more of our defined innovation areas, best-in-class strategies, and management of all Innovation activity on assigned clients or across Business Development opportunities, to ensure that in pitches, innovativeness of our work stands out.

  • Working closely with Chief Innovation Officer, DMSL, developing and evangelising overall strategy and approach Works to execute the larger innovation agenda and is responsible for managing day-to-day elements of one or more innovation quadrants (Client-facing Innovation Services, Market Facing / Analysts, Media, etc Innovation expertise, Internal facing tools, platforms, and processes or Internal facing cultural programmes, training, and employee development).
  • Working on multiple, large, or complex initiatives and developing overall strategy and goals for the team.
  • Managing a broad range of commercial/creative innovation initiatives.
  • Creating and refining market best practices related to innovation.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in delivering value and differentiation through innovation.
  • Experience of Digital / performance / creative.
  • Extensive experience nonidentifying innovative ideas and bringing these to life on clients and/or through the pitch process.
  • Ability to manage, and coach matrix teams.

Designed to inform brand strategies with real-time insights, Hearts & Science is a data-driven marketing agency with expert media planning and buying capabilities, among other services that include shopper marketing, marketing innovation and content activation.

As a Digital (Creative) Asset Manager, you will play a key role in working with internal media activation and operations teams and external stakeholders to manage the creative asset workflow associated with digital media campaigns. This role’s primary focus and responsibility is the management of video/custom program development, including production timelines and technical specifications, and routing of digital display, video, and other creative assets between the client, internal teams, creative agencies, and media partners. The Creative Asset Manager also plays a vital role in helping the media team build creative decks to illustrate the media plan and assists in presenting plans to the client.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Scheduling and leading creative kick-off calls with internal and external stakeholders
  • Creating and managing spec sheets in collaboration with media
  • Providing clear daily communication related to status and next steps for all pending, complete, or at-risk items
  • Managing custom program development, including production timelines and routing of assets between client, creative agencies, and media partner
  • Performing initial QA of delivered creative assets to confirm that all expected items have been received and meet basic spec requirements (such as file type, file size, and clip length)
  • Communicating with operations team to ensure creative assets are trafficked and set live correctly and on time
  • Building creative decks and speak to spec needs, timelines, and best practices at client meetings

Desired Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working at a creative or digital media agency
  • Eperience supporting clients in the entertainment industry preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of digital media creative specs, IAB standards, and related concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple complex campaigns simultaneously—strong project management (time management, organization, and prioritization) skills are a must
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and efficiently across disciplines with colleagues, clients, and partners at all levels
  • Basic knowledge of Google Campaign Manager or Studio is a plus
  • Knowledge and skills typically acquired through the completion of undergraduate studies in advertising, marketing, or a related field

Compensation Range: $50,000 – $95,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
