As a Finance Director, you will partner with cross-functional leaders across Walmart to complete strategic planning, performance analysis, business case development, and annual planning. You will make an impact if you:
- Partner with the Entertainment, Toys, and Seasonal Leadership Team to drive business results and define the strategic initiatives in these exciting businesses
- Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs
- Develop, communicate, build support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyze long range plans and incorporate into an integrated cross-functional strategy
- Determine and support resource requirements including prioritization roadmap
- Evaluate operational processes; measure outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities
- Promote a customer environment; demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruit, select, and develop talent; support mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leverage the capabilities of new and existing talent

Manage Strategic Financial Plans – Oversees the development of short-term and long-term strategic financial planning by partnering with different business leaders to assess overall segment goals. Establishing and communicating information about financial targets; identifying and reporting risk levels determined for the overall financial plan; providing actionable insights
Lead Strategic/Financial Decision Making – Leading alignment and consensus about strategic/financial decisions. Collaborates with leadership to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and objectives, and effectively communicates needs to accelerate goals to close gaps.
Enable Project and Business Management – Presenting feedback to leadership regarding risks associated with financial projections and providing insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends
Lead Communication and Presentations – Provides strategic input for business decisions by overseeing the production of complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations
Talent and Leadership – Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled, diverse and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area
- 4+ years’ experience in Analytics, Planning, Business Management, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area
- 2 years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
- 2 years of people leadership experience
- 2 years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience
- Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency
