This position is a strategic thought-leadership role blending strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities with great communication and influencing skills. As a Finance Director, you will partner with cross-functional leaders across Walmart to complete strategic planning, performance analysis, business case development, and annual planning. This role involves a high level of executive exposure and carries the potential for a tremendous amount of autonomy. You will make an impact if you:

  • Partner with the Entertainment, Toys, and Seasonal Leadership Team to drive business results and define the strategic initiatives in these exciting businesses
  • Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs
  • Develop, communicate, build support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyze long range plans and incorporate into an integrated cross-functional strategy
  • Determine and support resource requirements including prioritization roadmap
  • Evaluate operational processes; measure outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities
  • Promote a customer environment; demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruit, select, and develop talent; support mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leverage the capabilities of new and existing talent
  • Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; develop consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy
  • Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engage key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives

You will sweep us off our feet if you:

Manage Strategic Financial Plans – Oversees the development of short-term and long-term strategic financial planning by partnering with different business leaders to assess overall segment goals. Establishing and communicating information about financial targets; identifying and reporting risk levels determined for the overall financial plan; providing actionable insights

Lead Strategic/Financial Decision Making – Leading alignment and consensus about strategic/financial decisions. Collaborates with leadership to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and objectives, and effectively communicates needs to accelerate goals to close gaps.

Enable Project and Business Management – Presenting feedback to leadership regarding risks associated with financial projections and providing insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends

Lead Communication and Presentations – Provides strategic input for business decisions by overseeing the production of complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations

Talent and Leadership – Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled, diverse and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area
  • 4+ years’ experience in Analytics, Planning, Business Management, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area
  • 2 years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
  • 2 years of people leadership experience
  • 2 years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency

  • Help build out Walmart GoLocal’s Delivery As a Service Tech Platform to help achieve best in class delivery performance & lowest cost
  • Key Product Areas include Onboarding, Integrations with ecosystem partners, Demand Generation, Growth & Metrics
  • Define vision for your products using competitive analysis, customer research & company goals
  • Develop product strategy for your space to achieve aggressive revenue targets
  • Develop & evangelize product roadmaps, and gain buy-in from executive leadership
  • Be a champion for customer problems and identify high value capabilities to solve customer pain points
  • Launch high impact capabilities to drive top-line growth
  • Manage stakeholders across partner teams including Engineering, Program Management, Marketing, Design, Operations, & Sales
  • Drive day-to-day progress with your scrum team by keeping PRDs up to date and the backlog continuously groomed
  • Lead and deliver key cross-functional projects that span across multiple teams within the organization

Qualifications

  • Past experience delivering successful products in high-growth SaaS/Last Mile Delivery/Ecommerce/Marketplace/Enterprise B2B domains
  • Strong customer discovery skills; past experience conducting user interviews, surveys & narrow down pain points
  • Working knowledge of Agile Development, Scrum activities, Roadmap generation, Backlog grooming, & product rollouts
  • Ability to define key insights necessary to make product decisions & capability to work with data teams to deliver dashboards that will aid in decision making
  • You obsess delivering capabilities at a rapid pace to positively impact business metrics
  • You have a passion for building & scaling high performance, secure & reliable platform products

Preferred Qualifications

  • You understand key product features required to build, scale & nurture demand and supply side networks within a marketplace
  • You can pull data from different sources to build insight-ready dashboards
  • Ability to navigate large matrixed organizations

Our Distribution Center #7018 in North Platte, NE is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team of 650+ associates.   • 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources including progressively more responsible management experience.
  • Have led a team of HR direct reports.
