The Executive Producer is responsible for acquiring commercial projects as well as overseeing the workflow of the projects through the facility. They take a lead role in developing existing client relationships and actively exploring new business opportunities, ensuring they are consistently meeting annual sales objectives. They manage and mentor our commercial producers, possess strong networking and leadership skills and have a knack for creative problem solving. A passion for sales is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Nurture and maintain current client relationships while continually exploring new opportunities
- Develop an annual sales strategy
- Update accounting regularly on status of invoicing and payments
- Work closely with the Head of Post Production to ensure workflow in the facility is following the established sequence and is on track to meet forecasted delivery dates
- Ensure all quotes are accurate, fair and error free prior to submission to clients
- Act as a liaison with the client throughout the life of the project, communicating any modifications to the project team on a timely basis, proactively communicating any potential overages and promoting ongoing relationships
- Work with internal office team (client services) to communicate expectations are met for all in person client sessions
- Provide relevant content and updates for company social media channels as well as granting approvals on content when necessary
- Provide training, feedback and guidance to producers ensuring continued growth and development of the team
- Foster the development of creative talent within the commercial department internally ensuring that they are feeling supported and fulfilled. Also maintaining an eye externally of any up and coming artists that may be a good fit for our studio either on staff or freelance.
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of post-production workflows
- Previous sales experience
- Strong negotiation skills and a sales driven mindset
- Ability to handle a fast paced environment supervising multiple projects in various points of production (from development through delivery)
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must have exceptional people skills and communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as active listening skills
- Technical proficiency in Mac Operating systems and MS Office (specifically Excel)
