Responsibilities:

The Senior Executive Producer, “This Week” will provide creative oversight, management and editorial leadership for “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”. The Senior EP:

  • Oversees and directs the execution of “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” including “This Week” produced special programming on Hulu and ABC News Live.
  • Works closely with the “This Week” team and the ABC News Washington Bureau to expand the “This Week” brand across new platforms and opportunities.
  • Manages relationships with ABC News’ political contributors, in coordination with ABC News talent executives.
  • Closely partners with the Senior Executive Producer, ABC News Special Units & Disney General Entertainment, to develop the booking strategy for “This Week” and support key relationships with the White House, Capitol Hill and federal departments and agencies to facilitate competitive guest bookings for the show.
  • In collaboration with peer executives, develops and implements a content strategy for “This Week” that attracts and engages diverse audiences across all platforms.
  • Champions an innovative, highly collaborative, diverse culture that promotes idea generation, open communication, respect for others, and excellence.
  • Executes strategies to meet established goals/objectives to drive ratings, audience and revenue.
  • Sets short and long-term objectives to achieve budgetary goals.

The Executive Producer of Nightline will oversee all editorial and managerial aspects of the nightly program, while also developing a strategy for the future of the brand in the Walt Disney Company’s multi-platform environment, with an emphasis on the streaming future.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in in-depth reporting of major news stories and possess a journalistic mastery of crime, justice and human interest reporting. The candidate needs to have a deep understanding of news and be able to pivot to breaking news specials when required, managing the news division’s reporting resources, a full staff, and production assets for quick-turnarounds on a moment’s notice.

The candidate must innovate visually and narratively in a multi-platform ecosystem with an eye toward finding a story palette that will appeal to a broad-based, multi-cultural viewership and deliver satisfying journalism that continues to surprise, inform and inspire. Additionally, the EP must be committed to building a diverse staff that can deliver high-impact programming to a broad-based audience.

Exceptional leadership skills are required. This leader will champion an innovative, highly collaborative, diverse culture that promotes idea generation, open communication, respect for others, and excellence. The EP of Nightline must seamlessly integrate disparate parts of the division into the program’s work flow: sales, standards, legal, promotion, finance and HR. The candidate must also be fluent in budgeting and production costs that can be tailored to the broadcast’s revenue structure and will need to execute strategies to meet established goals/objectives to drive ratings, audience and revenue. The EP must also be fluent in talent management, juggling the needs of anchors, correspondents and support teams, knitting together the various constituencies within the staff and around the news division. Lastly, this leader must execute all policies/objectives while maintaining the highest level of ethics and standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in long form storytelling

Requirements

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and oversee the Meditative Story production budget and schedule.
  • Oversee curation of extraordinarily compelling, and often surprising, storytellers with unmatched diversity, including sought-after personalities throughout the schedule.
  • Lead thoughtful, incisive interviews with storytellers to pull out captivating narratives that are beautifully revealing, relatable and nuanced.
  • Help storytellers prepare for tracking sessions and coach them during the recordings.
  • Oversee and support the show’s Head Writer/Editor in managing a team of Meditative Story contract writers to execute beautifully crafted stories inside of tight deadlines.
  • Oversee and support the show’s Producer in managing the production schedule, completing assemblies, ensuring releases are signed, conducting recording sessions with hosts and storytellers, managing the media assets, collaborating with the Web and social teams, and various other weekly duties.
  • Lead hiring and staffing for the podcast format of Meditative Story, all in accordance with WaitWhat’s annual planning and budget.
  • Oversee excellence in audio editing/assembly/mastering.
  • Supervise the overall performance of the series and work with the audience growth team to meet or exceed projections quarterly download goals.
  • Super serve Meditative Story brand partners, ensuring ads are exquisitely crafted and inserted in the podcast, and reports are delivered with rich context about performance.
  • Cultivate the relationship with the host, Rohan, making the experience creatively appealing and joyful for him.
  • Suggest format iterations and experiments designed to build audience, grow retention, and push the boundaries of inventiveness.
  • Provide editorial and design teams the materials to support promotion and engagement.

The Department: Marketplace Operations

The Nifty Gateway Marketplace Operations team works closely with artists and leaders of NFT projects across all vertical areas to bring content to the Nifty Gateway marketplace which has been deemed safe and legitimate. You will be responsible for facilitating a scalable process for ingesting legitimate NFT content while keeping out spam and other content which detracts from the marketplace user-experience or is otherwise undesirable. You will craft policies, define tools, automate processes, and provide support to the NFT community. You will leverage a deep understanding of NFT technology and community and use this visibility to identify opportunities. You will interface with a broad range of internal and external teams. You have an understanding of creator industry dynamics and economics including creator platforms, emerging content formats, and mixed media.   • Create framework and process to verify the safety and quality of Nifty Gateway content including smart contracts and NFTs across different verticals

  • Proactively approach projects missing from the marketplace to support their onboarding

We are looking for a talented Executive Producer to play a leadership role in launching and operating the new business Channel.

Favored.live is a startup that powers live media for brands, publishers and creators. We were founded by veteran entrepreneurs who have led major Hollywood television and online video studios for top media companies.  Favored.live has been engaged by a prominent fintech company to launch a live + VOD Channel for Millennial/GenZ viewers, focused on the intersection of wealth-building, investing, technology, popular culture and social media.  The Channel will offer highly credible context around the most important and fascinating stories in business, blockchain, equities and other investments.  It will explore how these stories affect the lives of our viewers while being entertaining, accessible and often humorous. Anchor hosts will speak with business leaders and other players on a daily basis.  Newsletters, podcasts and social media content will also be part of the offering. Programming will be distributed on online channels and, over time, on Connected TV.  

As Executive Producer, you will assemble and then manage a team of producers, anchor hosts, correspondents, and writers/researchers who are producing live and VOD content on a daily basis.  Prior to launch, you will work with us on creating the Channel’s vision, look, feel and tone; finding and engaging talent at all positions; and framing shows and segments. In short, this is an opportunity to create something new and see it come to life.
