What we’re looking for: The Associate Producer will research and write news scripts for assigned shows and newscasts. Contribute to special features and stories. Participate in coordinating coverage of major stories, breaking news and specials.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write news stories for an assigned show and/or newscast, ensuring content is factually correct and written in a clear and concise conversational style
- Verify stories are written to the pictures being edited and/or vice versa
- Follow through on all assignments meeting required deadlines, including contributing to story ideas and development
- Fill-in producing shows and newscasts as needed
- Conduct pre-interviews and on-camera interviews
- Participate in shooting, scripting and editing, as directed
- Perform editing functions as needed

- Quality: Manage processes for franchise feedback, triage, and prioritization to maintain high-quality products. Work with Quality Assurance and external development teams to test experiences and maintain bug base.
- Communication: Help build stakeholder relationships and communicate clearly as it relates to requirements, scope, budget estimates, and product delivery. Can present product updates, and project plans to company partners, and external partners.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years experience producing interactive digital experiences and products
- Excellent communication skills, especially in partner discussions and email communication
- Experience collaborating with producers, product managers, designers, and audio teams on developing creative concepts
- Experience collaborating with engineers on technical requirements and product design

Job Description
As an Associate Producer at Ubi Quebec, you’ll drive the development of a specific part of a game. Depending on the project’s larger production strategy and organizational structure, your part could be a component like animation, level design, gameplay, world, or a combination of a few.

The ideal person for the Associate Producer role must have advertising and/or entertainment video production experience.
