Position Summary:

This position is part of a growing Fan Acquisition and Engagement team at the WNBA, with the goal of enhancing the fan experience, improving internal processes to make our digital marketing efforts more efficient, growing the overall WNBA fanbase, and acquiring and optimizing fan data. This position’s goal will be to drive growth through data-driven decision-making by analyzing marketing campaign performance and fan behavior. Success in this role requires the ability to close the gap between data and actionable insights and the ability to communicate those insights. Ideal candidates will be highly tactical self-starters with a background in marketing analytics and a passion for sports.

Major Responsibility:

  • Contribute to growing the WNBA fanbase by analyzing marketing campaign performance and fan behavior
  • Track and report on various fan acquisition campaigns (e.g., WNBA All-Star Voting) through Adobe Analytics
  • Provide deep analysis of direct-to-consumer (App, League Pass) marketing campaigns around new acquisitions and attribution
  • Develop understanding of how marketing campaigns drive fan interest, acquisition, and retention across the WNBA’s digital and non-digital platforms
  • Develop new datasets mapping complex data into familiar business terms such as product or customer to offer unified, consolidated views
  • Work with WNBA Data Program Manager in the development of automated dashboards for decision makers, via Tableau or PowerBI
  • Pull together and send weekly CRM performance reports, as well as build an overarching library of best practices and learnings
  • Provide real-time insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Develop a rich understanding of the WNBA and its fanbase
  • Assist with A/B test design and analyses aimed to improve fan interest, acquisition, and retention

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 1 – 3 years working in an analytical, research, or insights role – preferably in a marketing organization
  • Experience with direct-to-consumer products a plus
  • SQL proficiency is a must
  • Experience with R or Python a plus
  • Experience with data, analytics, and marketing platforms such as Adobe, Branch or Braze
  • Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization platforms like Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to convert complex findings and large data sets into insightful, concise, and easily digestible reports and presentations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
  • A passion for understanding fan behavior

Salary Range:

  • $1200-$1300 per week

SUMMARY:

The evenings and weekends position of Content Producer, TSR TEENS helps manage increase of traffic, raising the TSR Teens brand profile and building a loyal following on related social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and Twitter in addition to creating quick-turnaround TSR Teens-focused stories on theshaderoom.com.

Cross-departmental collaboration and a goal-driven work ethic is key in this role, which requires creative social media posting and angles with a quick turnaround.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Producing multiple quick-turnaround stories a day, while working on longer-lead projects.
  • Assist in managing The Shade Room Teens social media account (@TheShadeRoomTeens).
  • Help grow TSR Teens’ number of followers and increase engagement.
  • Write, develop, edit, and publish TSR Teens-focused stories for theshaderoom.com.
  • Cover major live events on social media and website.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns to raise profile of TSR Teens brand.
  • Monitor trending content on social media.
  • Develop and post social media stories and timeline posts.
  • Aid with posting of paid advertisements.

Two (2) years of experience growing a loyal social media following for a company or brand. 1+ years of experience writing online content and managing social media accounts such as Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter for a small size media organization or publication. Experience with Parse.ly, Photo Grid, Slack, Google Drive, Drop Box and Apple products a plus.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time and nonexempt position. The hourly rate is $26.44 – $31.25 ($54,995.20 – $65,000.00 annualized). Compensation will be based off of experience and local cost of living.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day management for Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, etc. for 2-3 brands which includes: content curation, ideation, campaign execution, copywriting, engagement and reporting.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Strategy Manager to assist in execution of all Social Media related initiatives for your dedicated brands.
  • Offer strategic insight to help organically grow and engage followers across all platforms.
  • Be responsible for A-Z execution of all Social Media aspects as it relates to our marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with Digital Marketing Strategy Manager weekly to review the performance of your brand while taking direction on next steps for improvement or request support.
  • Curate content schedule for all Social Media platforms, including Trailer / Full Scene Releases, DVD/VOD promo, micro / macro campaigns and Events.
  • Provide engaging copywriting for all Social Media captions.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing and growing a social media following, as well as knowing which trends, brands and creators are producing the most innovative content.
  • Experience managing small teams is a plus.
  • Must have strong proficiency and understanding of major social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter.
  • Content creation experience with photography or video for the purpose of Social Media preferred but not required.
  • Be an excellent communicator. Craft a social media presence that’s personable, professional and authentic. Adapt to the language and content to each social media platform.
  • Strong desire to build and foster an online community on social media.

  • Develop trusted relationships with our clients, gaining a thorough understanding of their businesses and company objectives so you can make meaningful communications recommendations
  • Comfortably take responsibility for successful delivery of projects on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Set objectives in line with client and agency needs, which may include scope, content, timings, and budget
  • Plan work and set deadlines to meet the agreed needs of the client and agency
  • Brainstorm visual and copy ideas with clients and agency team

What you’ll need to hit the ground running:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an agency or similar background
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, English or Creative Writing would be a benefit but not essential as our client is hiring for temperament, tenacity, and team spirit, rather than any specific educational background
  • A passion for creative writing that both entertains and informs will be very valuable – our client would love to see examples of your creative output as part of the recruitment process.
  • A solid network of media contacts across all platforms and experience pitching stories to them

We’re looking for an established Media Manager or Media Planner to join this global leading brand communications agency based in the heart of Bristol. You’ll be a forward-thinking ideas person with a good understanding of media planning and buying to help deliver high quality campaigns for a top client list, which includes household name brands across the entertainment, FMCG, and automotive sectors.

The experience we need.

  • Experience direct response or delivering against performance targets
  • A confident understanding of the media planning process, from taking a brief, channel selection, speaking to media owners, reviewing historical performance to make informed decisions, and putting together media plans / schedules.
  • Experience in working with the full range of media channels:
  • Digitally ‘literate’ and able to speak with clients and expert teams with confidence. One of our key accounts spends in Search & Social, so a broad understanding of these two channels would be beneficial.
  • Offline buying experience is not essential but would be useful, as the key account also runs in TV, OOH, VOD and Print.
  • Experience in working with industry-standard media planning tools such as TGI, Ad-Intel
  • Experience of client management, confident to handle day to day discussions
  • Happy working at a fast pace and managing/prioritising high volume of regular and adhoc tasks
  • Experience of preparing client-facing documents with keen attention to detail, whether in the form of Excel schedules or Powerpoint decks
  • An organised approach to manage timelines and internal/external stakeholders
  • Able to support and coach junior members of the team
