To capitalize on this incredible growth and to achieve Visit Salt Lake’s ambitious vision, we’re seeking a highly creative Social Media Manager to help take our efforts to the next level. You will manage social-first content creation and curation to support the social strategy across leisure and b2b segments. You will create and maintain a calendar and produce captivating content that showcases the distinct nature of the evolving Salt Lake destination brand. You are culturally connected and creatively curious with experience crafting a variety of content across multiple social platforms. You aren’t afraid to be innovative, using the latest trends and technology such as AI to shape creative storytelling whilst engaging with diverse audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement and manage social strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Showcasing Salt Lake as a distinct destination of attractions, culture, landscape, events and community;
  • Craft and produce creative and captivating content across platforms, working with the content team to shape social-first content deliverables and direction;
  • Write compelling copy that reflects Visit Salt Lake’s brand voice whilst appealing to target audiences;
  • Collaborate across the organization to identify destination experts and influencers inside and outside the company to collaborate on social-first brand storytelling opportunities that expand reach;
  • Manage, nurture and engage social community by interacting with followers by responding to comments, messages and reviews and encouraging user-generated content.
  • Research emerging social trends to uncover brand opportunities to engage in cultural moments;
  • Use social listening tools to help improve strategies and measure event and key moments impact;
  • Leverage reporting and analytics to set goals, KPIs and benchmarks (in collaboration with marketing leadership) and report monthly on performance across all platforms.

Qualifications

  • Passion for culture, social media trends and fostering a community;
  • 4+ years of experience as a social media manager, creating content and managing platforms;
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, management and analytics tools with a curiosity for emerging technologies such as AI.
  • Proven track record of delivering against defined metrics and KPIs;
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, content creation and communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with various stakeholders across the destination inside and outside of the organization;
  • Drive to be an innovative thinker and team player with a growth mindset;

Role Overview:

The Senior Manager of Influencer Marketing & Social Media is directly responsible for leading the brand’s influencer and social media strategy. This role actively implements fully integrated influencer & social media marketing activities to drive brand growth and exceed KPI goals. This role requires a social media expert who can drive strategy, build and develop a team, and execute marketing activities that drive clear growth. You will be entrepreneurial, drive strategic growth, demonstrate excellent ability for influencer relationship building, and be passionate about social media & storytelling. This role requires being both highly strategic & creative, and educating a broader organization on best-in-class owned, earned and paid social media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement influencer and social media strategy for the brand, driving clear success and brand growth.
  • Lead strategy for Rizos Curls social handles across all social media platforms, creating and implementing high-engagement content that resonates with our audiences.
  • Lead multi-tiered influencer strategy that meets multi-channel brand needs and deliverables of corresponding KPI’s.
  • Manage ongoing influencer partnerships, agreements and casting for all campaigns.
  • Create a comprehensive influencer marketing calendar to constantly drive awareness and engagement, including content development for the brand.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with existing influencer partners, while actively identifying, sourcing and negotiating new influencer partnerships and content opportunities.
  • Define performance goals, track relevant metrics, conversion and define influencer program performance indicators.
  • Build and oversee a team that is best in class in social media, influencer, PR, content production & community management.
  • Identify & develop original content that appeals to Rizos Curls consumers and drives high engagement.
  • Must be able to produce social media content that is highly creative and brings the brand to life through storytelling that connects with and engages customers.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of storytelling and create content that makes people feel things and captivates their emotions.
  • Define content pillars and opportunities across the brand’s key consumption occasions.
  • Monitor content to ensure it authentically align with brands values and positioning.

  • Own external partner relations for social program, including creators, agencies, software/technology and partnerships.

  • Manage and track influencer & social media budget, including incentive/gifting programs.

  •  Help develop and launch new social media platforms; manage ongoing channel operations and provide strategic input to further advance brand goals.

They will maintain the brand’s overall creative vision and ensure that the brand stays true to its values and identity. This role will be responsible for developing campaigns that create cultural conversation, build social followings, and drive sales. This highly visible position will work closely with all departments to bring best-in-class campaigns to life.

    The Art Director, Brand Campaigns must think strategically, move fast to execute strategy, and set customer-centric campaign goals; excellent project management skills; a keen eye for compelling and innovative content; and a passion for continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategy

    • Leads and oversees the creative team to ensure the development and execution of high-quality and innovative creative content.
    • Develops and implements the overall creative strategy + concept that aligns with the seasonal marketing tiers.
    • Writes creative briefs, providing an overall strategy, storyline and mood board that threads its way through campaign, UGC, wholesale, retail flagship, Paid Marketing and Ecommerce.
    • Sets Brand Creative calendar.
    • Conducts research regularly to stay ahead of creative trends and best practices.
    • Works closely with the Director, Creative Production to plan and execute upcoming seasons.
    • Provides creative references and direction.

    Execution

    • Manages and mentors the creative team, providing feedback and guidance to ensure the team’s growth and development.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Ecommerce and Wholesale to ensure the creative vision is aligned with business objectives.
    • Makes selects on final campaign imagery.
    • Reviews and approves final retouching.
    • Executes style outs and fittings as needed, working closely with merch, marketing and wholesale to highlight the proper product.
    • Writes Creative briefs as needed.
    • Reviews and approves creative strategy for Ecommerce video and image content: casting, HMU, styling, lighting, photography and video.
    • Provides direction and collaborates in miscellaneous brand content, including photoshoots with high profile talent . Provides shot lists, references, directions and attends as needed.
    • Provides direction for evergreen video and image content used across site, digital, social, and retail.

    Time Management/Reporting

    • Plan and organize your activities to meet all deadlines, enhance performance, maximize productivity, and increase efficiency.
    • Set goals and timelines, be proactive with your tasks, and set clear exceptions for yourself.
    • Report back regularly to the team key learnings, overall results, and opportunities for improvement for all priority projects.
    • Works closely with the video and editing team before, during and after filming.
    • Provides edit notes and communicates w/video team.
    • Manages internal approvals.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years experience as an Art Director in Brand Creative space.
    • Keen sense and aesthetic for visual design and creative.
    • Must have strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and concepts to clients and team members.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
    • Experience in Mac OSX, FIGMA, Global edit, Capture one, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize as needed.
    • Takes direction and constructive critiques well while also having the ability to work autonomously and provide self-direction when needed.

    Leadership

    • Understand trends and ensure team members are actively assessing, and adding skills: remote camera work, streaming video, content strategies—running list and ensure there is a lead that teaches others; report back
    • Master our internal methodology to develop strategically sound creative that delivers on the client needs and addresses their challenges’
    • Potentially develop intern program for writing, design, social, web
    • Understand how to work google docs, google sheets, hive, etc
    • Help with creative briefs and strategies
    • Work with account team and be a creative representative for client interactions
    • Assess team members, make recommendations for reviews, hiring, warning, terminations

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Proven experience as a Creative Conceptor, Concept Developer, or similar role in a creative agency environment.
    • Exceptional creative thinking abilities with a track record of developing innovative concepts and campaigns.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Understanding of media best practices across multiple channels, including but not limited to social and digital
    • Ability to strategically interface and brainstorm with other teammates regarding the visual display of information; Ability to grasp the substance of business issues being communicated and then re-articulate visual options that enhance and clarify audience understanding.
    • Exercise judgment and project management skills to balance priorities and communicate to teams to meet and exceed project deadlines and commitments.
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to manage time and take initiative.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Illustration, or related art field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience creating digital assets for web, display, mobile, print, video, in an agency setting.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign.
    • Video and Audio Capabilities a plus.
