JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Manager is tasked with leading a team and managing multiple areas in a fast-paced work environment. In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible for making decisions in a timely manner, understanding and achieving financial goals, and leading their team to work in a collaborative effort to exceed guest expectations.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:
- Working with the Director, Business Operations and Strategy to identify highest priorities for the business and create road maps for parallel projects with the goal of: creating operational visibility to all aspects of the business, driving ROI-based decision making, presenting analytical performance of company KPIs and initiatives, storyboarding and fleshing out C-suite presentations to drive strategy discussions.

- Content vertical is focused on deep dives into capturing financial performance of specific titles, financial modeling of potential content acquisition deals from dozens of content partners, deep dives into specific content initiatives to identify areas of opportunity for the business. This vertical includes, but is not limited to, identifying drivers of content performance, evaluating drivers of content viewership, optimization around machine learning driven content engines, building out of complex models for varying content deal types, and cost optimization around content deals.
- Sales vertical is focused on deep dives into ad sales revenue streams of the business, cross sectional views of performance of direct, partner, specific advertisers as well as specific revenue KPIs (cpm, fill, capacity). Ample opportunity to expand into ad sales operations and streamlining opportunities for improvements.
- Growth vertical is focused on return on investment on user acquisition spend across all channels, tradeoffs of resource allocation, evaluation of strategic opportunities across OTT platforms, and identifying barriers and solutions to scaling.

- MBA or equivalent experience

Job Description
The Director, Content Strategy will serve as an integral member of the Content Strategy team that is responsible for developing Peacock’s holistic slate strategy across all content verticals to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and usage. The Content Strategy team works closely with stakeholders across NBCUniversal to align content strategy and execution to Peacock KPIs. The position will report to the Vice President of Content Strategy, with an opportunity to focus on original scripted TV series, original unscripted TV series, or original film.

- Supporting Peacock’s originals investment decisions, including developing a strategic slate and investment guidelines in terms of target audiences, genres, and target ROI
- Defining and tracking targets for originals performance based on MAAs, Usage, Upgrade rates & brand KPIs
- Working closely with creative teams to evaluate originals ideas based on Peacock KPIs
- Partnering with Peacock Content Analytics, Finance, and Marketing to develop title-level pro formas to inform greenlight decisions and renewals
- Inputting into broader content strategy and planning processes as content spend allocation is refined, and programming offering is optimized across different content supply sources (e.g., current season “next day” programming, acquired library)
- Supporting scheduling team on optimizing content release patterns (i.e., episode drop cadence, identifying programming schedule gaps, etc.)
- Compiling post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement
- Conducting market research, competitor content performance analysis, as well as industry trend tracking
Salary Range: $165,000 – $195,000 (bonus eligible)
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience that includes a mix of the following: Management consulting; Investment banking within the Media, Technology, or Telecom practice; Business development, strategy, corporate development, or corporate finance at a media or technology company
- Ability to closely monitor performance of content on the platform to inform new commissions as well as renewals, and to identify opportunities to optimize performance to affect subscriber engagement and retention
- A solid understanding of the streaming landscape and business models
- A solid understanding of TV audiences, including segmentation methodologies and application to business use cases
- Strong business / financial acumen – ability to form judgments and actionable recommendations
- Specific knowledge about deal analysis for original TV series and/or original Film preferred
- Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as collaboratively, excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Knowledge of Nielsen data and streaming data reporting systems such as Nielsen NPower, comScore and Adobe Analytics preferred
- Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

Role Description
Hook Hall is looking to hire a meticulous, detail-oriented and grounded Assistant General Manager to help guide our ship. This position will require the ability to work independently, as a self starter, and as part of a team, receiving and delegating responsibilities.
Utilizing your excellent logistics skills and strength in multi-tasking you will need to navigate through the high seas, with your crew by your side, ensuring both the crew and guests have the best experience. It is imperative that we keep the crew unified and the ship in pristine condition.

Managerial Responsibilities

- Confidently manage Hook Hall operations and deliver solutions for both the crew and guests
- Support and work alongside the General Manager to grow a world class entertainment company with a guest-centric experience including bar games, private events, and unique curated tavern/bar concepts that challenge the status quo in the industry
- Maintain rapport with vendors, coordinating and supervising delivery of services
- Ensure Hook Hall is running to in a manner that is beyond compliant, meeting company standards for food, beverage and safety
- Work with HR to recruit, train, and develop top-notch team members, and indoctrinate new employees in the parent company’s culture and core values
- Manage and resolve crew conflicts in a professional manner
- Foster an environment that ensures all team members are looking for ways to systematize the business to increase efficiency
- Identify and reward top performing crew members and successfully assess, coach and develop under-performing crew members
- Work with the General Manager to ensure Hook Hall is appropriately staffed
- Track and manage expenses and labor costs, reporting to leadership regularly
- Ensure the best possible guest experience for private and corporate events, including set up and clean-up, and highest level of customer service via email, phone, and in-person touchpoints
- Responsible for maintaining compliance will all local alcohol/beverage and food safety laws applicable
- All product procurement and inventory management programs for the business to ensure all supplies and inventory are maintained at necessary levels
