The individual in this role will be responsible for managing the cables and reels attached to the Skycam to prevent tangling and ensuring smooth operations. Additionally, the role requires assisting with the setup and strike of equipment, including unloading and loading medium to heavy cases from broadcast trucks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and strike (teardown) of Skycam and related broadcast equipment.
  • Monitor and manage the Skycam’s cables and reels to ensure they do not become tangled during operation.
  • Help unload and load broadcast equipment from trucks, ensuring all equipment is handled safely and efficiently.
  • Work at heights, including climbing and walking on catwalks, as required for the maintenance and management of the Skycam system.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure all Skycam operations are executed smoothly during live broadcasts.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working at heights, including climbing and walking on catwalks.
  • Capable of lifting equipment up to 40 lbs.
  • Must assist with both the setup and strike phases of the broadcast.

This role involves running errands, distributing information, and assisting in coordinating announcer arrivals and departures, along with other related tasks as directed by the production team. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and ready to handle a variety of tasks, all while having a solid understanding of basic broadcast operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with on-site operations and production for remote TV broadcasts.
  • Run errands and distribute information as directed by the production team.
  • Coordinate with announcers and production staff for arrivals and departures.
  • Perform various tasks as required to support the smooth execution of the broadcast.
  • Maintain clear and reliable communication with the operations team throughout the event.
  • Check in and out each day with the operations team to ensure all tasks are completed.

Requirements:

  • Must live within 100 miles of the event site to be considered.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • A minimum of 8 shows worked as a regional-level runner in live remote productions is required.
  • Must have reliable communication tools (cellphone, text, and email).
  • Must possess a positive attitude and a proactive personality, thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Must be able to check in and out each day with the operations team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the local area and venue is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead other runners during the event.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Utility II to assist our Technical Operations team in setting up, executing, and tearing down for live remote TV broadcasts. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations during the event, including handling broadcast equipment, assisting with camera operations, and supporting lighting and scenic departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, execution, and teardown of remote TV broadcasts.
  • Unload and load medium to heavy cases off broadcast trucks.
  • Layout, pickup, and manage broadcast cabling, ensuring it is properly coiled and maintained.
  • Support camera operators by pulling and coiling cables, carrying camera batteries, and assisting with other related tasks.
  • Aid in setting up scenic and lighting departments, including climbing ladders and working overhead on scaffolding and rooftops.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently, following all operational protocols.

Requirements:

  • Must live within 100 miles of the event site.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A minimum of 7 shows worked as a regional-level utility in live remote productions is required.
  • Must have operational familiarity with TV equipment, including cameras, cables, and monitors.
  • Must be skilled at over/under wrapping of cables and maintaining tidy cable coils.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Firsthand knowledge of venue production areas is highly desirable.
