Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and friendly individuals to work as convention staffers at an upcoming event at the Ernest Morial Convention Center. This is a paid position that involves various roles such as room and session monitors, badge scanners, and runners. Staffers will assist with event logistics, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all attendees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as room and session monitors, overseeing attendee flow and ensuring that rooms are set up and running smoothly.
- Operate as badge scanners at designated entry points to check in attendees and ensure proper access.
- Perform runner duties, assisting with miscellaneous tasks and event coordination needs as directed.
- Stand for long periods of time, maintaining professionalism and attentiveness.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift to check in and prepare for duties.
- Ensure all responsibilities are carried out with a friendly and helpful attitude toward attendees and staff.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods (5-7 hour shifts).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Previous experience working at conventions or similar events is preferred.
- Required attire: white dress top, black slacks or dress pants, and solid black shoes.
