Job Description: Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking local Newport, Rhode Island residents to appear as background extras for the upcoming season of HBO’s The Gilded Age. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a historical production set in the 1880s. As a background extra, you will be dressed in period costumes and play townsfolk, socialites, and other members of society from the Gilded Age era.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray various background roles set in the 1880s, including townspeople, social elites, and workers.
• Attend a mandatory costume fitting prior to filming.
• Be prepared to be on set for long filming days, taking direction and adhering to the historical setting of the production.
• Maintain authenticity with costumes, hairstyles, and behaviors reflective of the 1880s.

Requirements:

• Must be a local to Newport, Rhode Island, or the surrounding areas.
• Comfortable working around smoke and have no allergies to wool (as wool costumes may be used).
• No visible tattoos and no buzz cuts or modern hairstyles (natural hair colors only; no highlights).
• Men must be okay with period-accurate haircuts, and women will be fitted with corsets and bustles.
• Must be available for a costume fitting prior to the shoot.

Compensation Details:

• SAG-AFTRA Members:
  • Fitting Pay: $52 for 2 hours
  • Shoot Day Pay: $216 for 8 hours
• Non-SAG Members:
  • Fitting Pay: $40 for 2.5 hours
  • Shoot Day Pay: $176 for 10 hours

Casting Call: Piano Players for Non-Union Video Shoot

Job Description:
A major musical instrument manufacturer is seeking three talented pianists for a non-union video shoot. This project aims to showcase a new line of affordable pianos, and we are looking for musicians across various age ranges to participate. No modeling or acting experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for pianists of all levels to be featured.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform on the piano in a video shoot that highlights the features and sound quality of a new line of pianos.
• Follow directions from the director and production team to achieve the desired performance and presentation.
• Represent a specific age demographic to appeal to a wide audience.

Requirements:

• Pianist #1: Teenager (Age 12-16)
• Pianist #2: Adult (Age 30-40) – Ideal for those who can portray a parent or teacher role.
• Pianist #3: Senior (Age 60+) – Suitable for someone who can represent a grandparent or seasoned performer.
• Must be able to play the piano at a proficient level.
• Open to all genders.
• Must be willing to travel to Rhode Island for the shoot.

Compensation:
Each selected pianist will receive $800 for their participation in the video shoot. Travel expenses may be covered depending on the location.

Young Hockey Players for Commercial Project (Boys 10-12 Years Old)
