Casting Call: Casting Assistant Production Assistants
Job Overview: We are currently seeking two (2) energetic, organized, and proactive Casting Assistant Production Assistants to join our team for a one-day open casting call event. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in the casting process and film production to gain hands-on experience. The Casting Assistants will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our casting call, assisting potential talent and ensuring a seamless experience for both participants and the casting team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the casting call venue, including signage, registration tables, and waiting areas.
- Manage the flow of participants, ensuring a smooth and orderly process from registration to audition.
- Provide participants with all necessary forms and information, assisting them in completing any paperwork required.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with participants, answering questions and providing guidance as needed.
- Work closely with the casting team to address any needs or issues that may arise during the event.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may include administrative tasks or support to the casting directors.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9:30 AM to potentially 6:30 PM (including setup and breakdown time).
- Previous experience in event coordination, casting, or film production is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be proactive, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Garson Studios in Santa Fe, NM.
Compensation Details: The selected candidates will be compensated at a rate of $16 per hour. In recognition of the commitment required, a 12-hour guarantee is provided, ensuring payment for a full day’s work regardless of early completion.
