The Senior Video Production Manager will report directly to the Director of the photo and video team and supervise those team members of the video production team. The Senior Video Production Manager will be responsible for the creation, completion, and quality of all video projects for Jazwares business needs.
What you will do:
- Organize and direct all aspects of video production, including location scouting, talent selection, audio production and acting as lead cinematographer
- Conduct/participate in pre-production meetings for efficient and accurate workflow together with the video coordinator.
- Operate or coordinate operation of lights, audio, and camera support equipment
- Own the post-production workflow on all video projects, including video/audio editing, color correction, etc.
- Together with the video coordinator distribute and coordinate projects with the other members of the team
- Manage creation and distribution of all video assets
- Work with advertising, video production, or other third-party agencies as needed
- Advise on equipment needs and upgrades
- Advise on workflow optimization which includes but is not limited to, internal video process, asset management, approval workflows, internal communication
- Supervise and mentor the video team coordinators, team members and freelance collaborators
- Perform other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in video production or other industry relevant field, or a comparable trade degree
- 10+ years of experience in video production including videography and editing
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding the competitive marketplace
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
- Able to work cross functionally and reciprocally with multiple departments
- Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Able to work independently or collaboratively
- Expert level skills in Adobe Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects)
- Extensive knowledge in video formats and conversions
- Exceptional cinematography skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of video production, including storyboarding, lighting, sound, cinematography, editing, color correction, and publishing
- Highlight reel and portfolio of work
- The Senior Video Production Manager will be required to work in office as needed for video capture and editing projects. Work from home opportunities will be based on workload

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
