Job Description
Responsibilities:
NBC Sports is seeking an Email Marketing Manager to join our team. This position will be based in Stamford, CT. An ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual that will lead a team of email marketing specialists focused on execution and optimization for our email and mobile marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for building out the necessary strategy, tactics, campaigns, and creative to deliver on program goals. They will play an integral role in building, delivering, and measuring campaigns aimed at these goals through current channels, as well as developing the roadmap for a clear A/B testing framework of new channels, such as SMS, QR codes, and in-app messaging. They will leverage their CRM knowledge and digital marketing experience plus campaign performance data to iteratively test, optimize, and recommend new best practices. They’ll also stay current on CRM best practices and industry insights and will help manage vendor relationships.
The Email Marketing Manager Will Be Expected To
- Lead the strategic development and campaign execution for all email, push and SMS efforts across all products with a constant focus on optimization to achieve high CTOR, conversion, retention and other key goals
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop sophisticated email and mobile journeys, behavioral, transactional, and triggered campaigns
- Determine the circulation plan, segmentation strategy, cadence, frequency, and dynamic content logic for all email efforts
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors that assist with execution of our daily email programs
- Manage email team workflows, production capacity and schedule; identify process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scale to capacity of the team
- Understand email system configuration and complete data flow
- Own and report internally on all KPIs and metrics to proactively optimize and develop all CRM programs to create the best consumer experience
- Lead development and execution of the roadmap for a clear A/B testing framework of new and existing programs to increase growth, optimize experience and improve retention
- Deep dive to into data to identify key insights and increase customer engagement and interaction and develop end-to-end customer lifecycle strategies that drive engagement and retention
- Track and report on results and make recommendations based on performance insights

Qualifications/Requirements
- 5+ years of prior email and CRM marketing experience required
- A deep understanding of CRM and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Prior managerial experience required
- Understanding and experience with CSS, HTML, and responsive design best practices
- Strong analytical skills with a desired focus on testing and measuring results
- Proven track record of developing audience segments, campaigns, and creative geared toward engagement and retention
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies, and risk factors
- Strong oral/written presentation skills with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of data visualization platforms, comfortable managing and analyzing large quantities of data
