OVERVIEW
Salt Studios, our in-house production team is looking for a Senior Producer to join the team. The Senior Producer is primarily responsible for the successful execution of creative ideas for clients, working closely with internal agency teams (from Strategy, Accounts, Creative) to external suppliers (production vendors, production consultants, key partners & freelance resources). They have solid experience producing across the following platforms: Broadcast & TV, OLV, print, social and digital and can foster positive energy, manage expectations and work collaboratively to find creative solutions to problems that arise during the development of projects.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a mix of Broadcast & Digital productions
- Leading production schedules and on set team management/leadership
- Track and maintain project budgets and coordinate, plan and execute production schedules, shoots, and prep projects for post
- Manage production day to day, communications with suppliers/ agency teams/ clients/ vendors
- Manage deliverables & track project progress
- Collaborate with creative teams to elevate the creative concept by providing ideas, production solutions and options, relevant references, and to identify and mitigate risks to projects/ proactively problem solve
- Evaluate initial creative concepts and define deliverables
- Research and recommend best-in-class suppliers (production companies, directors, key partners, and freelance resources), negotiate fees/rates and identify and proactively mitigate risks to projects
- Build, maintain and update vendor contracts
- Manage insurance & legal paperwork
- Oversee key steps/phases during project development (Pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery)
- Keep Head of Studio informed of key developments with projects on an ongoing basis
- Project manage & produce post-production and delivery of final assets
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 5+ years’ experience in a production role at a creative agency, broadcaster, media agency or production company and diverse production experience
- Excellent Production Skills (Including line production experience)
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- Fluent in Excel & Powerpoint
- Ability to use experience and production expertise to problem solve in real time
- Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in the development of content (film, print, photography, etc.), digital (web, mobile, social, etc.) and experiential (events, activation, etc.) projects.
- Strong knowledge of top tier suppliers/ good relationships with key contacts in North America and negotiation skills (experience working with cost consultants)
- Strong technical knowledge of production
- Strong knowledge of talent union requirements/ legal considerations
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (an asset)
