Are you a talented Video Producer with the ability to create engaging video products including student lessons and teacher professional development videos? Do you have a passion for education and interest in working within the industry?
You Will:
- Manage and coordinate technical needs between production crew and post-production vendor, sourcing new crew or vendors as needed
- Coordinate file deliveries and archiving
- Manage relationships with cast of in-app teachers (talent) including auditioning, onboarding, and scheduling new teachers
- Coordinate with external casting director or producing partners for lessons involving children
- Manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Identify and deliver improvements to creative and technical processes and systems
- Set and execute production calendar: Organize and schedule on-site shoots and remote recordings , Maintain shot lists, including for pickups and other needs, secure production crew for shoots
- Directly support pre-production and production days
- Meet with Curriculum Authors to discuss their lessons’ needs, helping them with approaches to any concepts including proof-of-concept tests before filming
- Record “lofi” pre-production test footage to try out props or test approaches to a given shot.
- Attend shoots to facilitate smooth operation of the studio and support Curriculum Authors and crew as needed, especially with shots involving specialty props
- Maintain studio inventory and wardrobe, acquiring new wardrobe and props as needed
- Photograph props or other setups as required for product team
- Build and manage relationships between internal stakeholders and external contractors and vendors, anticipating needs and offering solutions
You Have:
- 3-5+ years’ experience with video production
- A plus if experience is in educational/instructional or non-profit content
- Proven track record building and managing relationships with vendors and colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite
- Familiarity with Smartsheet and Asana is a Plus
- Flexibility in scheduling: because we film with real teachers, there will be weekend shoots up to 1-2 days/month (If working a Saturday shoot, you can then make up that day and have a weekday off)
