Job Description

Role Summary:

The Senior Technical Support Analyst will provide high-level and specialized support for all aspect of IT film production. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in leveraging a variety of technology-related solutions to support various workflows within a fast-paced, rapidly changing film production environment. They must enjoy interacting with customers and be willing to collaborate with team members as needed to tackle varying degrees of challenges within film production.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, build, manage and support production network server environments (including but not limited to, servers QNAP NAS’s, workstations, firewalls, databases/services if needed) for multiple global productions.
  • Lead the VFX requirement gathering sessions
  • Build and maintain virtual machines running various production software
  • Backup, restore, and archive processes on various media and platforms. Both local and remote.
  • Setup an IO workstation (usually iMac) to be able to pull/send Aspera transfers to and from external hard drives.
  • Setup/configure JUMP Desktop on Media Composer machines for editors that need remote access.
  • Provide remote access tools for various workflows.
  • Collaborate with multiple 3rd party technology vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers on location.
  • Provide documentation and support in a multi-OS environment for various departments within production.
  • Collaborate with existing network team and build a network infrastructure that meets NBCUniversal network security standards.
  • Assess security requirements and recommend best practices and solutions.
  • Setup Wi-Fi and SSIDs for the production office.
  • Utilize Palo Alto/FortiGate firewalls with up-to-date UTM and support.
  • Configure firewall network VLAN’s.
  • Configure firewall QOS per departmental VLAN for network traffic shaping.
  • Configure firewall to allow VLAN access to network server.
  • Create and manage multifactor VPN services/rules/accounts.
  • Provide accurate inventory updates including detailed description of deployed environments.
  • Make sure requests/incidents from users are completed in a reasonable time.
  • Utilizing cloud services and testing POCs to streamline technology for productions.
  • Collaborate and work closely with other NBCUniversal departments that support features (IE Marketing, Creative Technology, Post Production, Post Sound, etc.)
  • Stay up-to-date with VFX technologies and propose solutions to senior leadership to improve efficiency within VFX workflows
  • Collaborate with production vendors (IE Proof, MPC, DNEG, Co3/Efilm, 3rd Floor, etc.) as needed.

Qualifications

Qualification/ Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in desktop, server, network technology in multi-platform environments (MAC OS, Windows, NAS, Linux, VMs, various networking technologies, various cloud technologies).
  • Experience supporting collaboration software (O365 Suite)
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve in a time sensitive environment.
  • Must be able to design data workflows and network solutions.
  • Experience with creating technical and training/user documentation.
  • Must be flexible on scheduling to include some night or weekend work.
  • Must be able to commute into the office as needed.

About The Role

The role of TechEx Manager offers the opportunity to manage a diverse team of on site, multi skilled Desk Side Support Technicians in a complex, fast-paced & mission critical environment. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of leads & engineers providing support to a wide range of our businesses including broadcast, production & corporate.

The successful applicant will find themselves in a challenging and rewarding environment, continually improving processes and tooling. Collaborating with Incident Managers, Problem Managers, Procurement/Asset Managers and a portfolio of senior level business stakeholders. The Director, Publicity Awards will work with an internal team and consultants to manage and execute all aspects of strategic awards campaigns for Focus Features titles on a year-round basis. Position will liaise with Publicity, Events, Corporate, Creative, and other cross-divisional areas.   • Collaborate in crafting and executing awards campaign strategy throughout all phases.

Job Description

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) is comprised of both digital and physical distribution businesses, overseeing the sales and operations for digital transactional film and television content including PVOD, PEST, EST, and VOD for Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Illumination, DreamWorks Animation, and independent studios, as well as physical DVD and Blu-Ray product sales in multiple international markets.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing will lead tactical planning and strategy of paid media campaigns that stimulate consumer awareness, increase purchase intent and, ultimately, deliver sales for Universal’s various movies released in the home entertainment window including Blu-ray, DVD, electronic sell-through, and on-demand formats. Candidate must be able to provide critical oversight of program KPIs and help to identify areas of opportunity in planning and optimization of media programs.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for 25+ annual campaigns that stretch across all aspects of digital media, including display, search, mobile, social, programmatic, and more. In addition, this individual will help guide the associated ad creative and digital media research.

Media Plan Development & Execution

  • Extensive experience and proficiency in paid media coupled with a strong understanding of performance media, social, and programmatic buying.
  • Advanced understanding of media measurement and reporting to help set objectives and identify optimizations.
  • Exceptional presentation skills in both creating and presenting media plans, strategic process documents, and campaign results to key stakeholders and senior-level executives.
  • Strong background in media agency management and collaboration to deliver against brand objectives. Develop strong working relationships with all agencies, internal departments, international counterparts, publishers, customers, external clients, and third-party vendors.
  • Significant experience in how to plan and run paid media with differing objectives across the marketing funnel: brand awareness and consideration and performance.

  • Responsible for the strategy, execution, performance, and reporting of the Display and Paid social campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Google’s Ad platforms, Amazon AAP and AMS, etc.).

  • Help maintain implementation documents such as Solution Design Documentation, Data Layer specifications, custom JavaScript, etc. and ensure consistency and use of best practices across all implementations.
  • Assist team with tracking requirements and occasional reporting for ab testing (reporting readouts in Amplitude)
  • Ensure all existing and new products and features have accurate measurement by validating the measurement on each device and validating that all reports are populating appropriately.
  • Partner with Product & UX team on redesign requirements and reporting
  • Stay on top of Adobe Analytics Platform, mParticle and Branch product updates, library version changes, updates, extensions, best practices and proactively follow up with required changes in implementation.
  • Communicate between the technical, analytical, and business staff for implementation testing requests and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 (Bonus Eligible)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in similar role
  • Intermediate level experience in Adobe Analytics implementation using Adobe Launch or DTM on customer facing web applications
  • Intermediate level of experience in using debugging tools, checking analytics and 3rd party tags using developer tools such as Charles or Chrome Dev tools
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, Amplitude, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics Heartbeat video tracking
  • Experience with ab testing implementations set up and reporting
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics, including related reporting tools such as Processing Rules, Data Feeds and Adobe Analytics Workspace.
  • Experience in Data mapping and quality audit strategies
  • Experience working directly with developers and collaborating across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA
