Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Creative Leader with an Art Direction background to lead Marketing creative on behalf of client’s owned brands in partnership with agencies and product marketers, ensuring consistent brand content through all touch points. This leadership role will develop brand building work that will cultivate our brand look and feel with a heavy focus on working with internal teams and external creative agencies.

The successful candidate will continually push for innovation, never settling for the status quo. Job Responsibilities:

  • Creative / Hands-on Work
  • Concept and lead multiple Marketing creative campaigns, either with in-house creative team or Agency partners
  • Concept & lead multiple social-first campaign launches for one of client’s largest owned gaming studios.
  • Help develop and inform creative briefs that provide strategic insights, and data driven results to inspire creative concepts and ideas.
  • Work with either internal teams or our agency partners to produce standout and strategically focused global campaigns supporting the goals of world-class creative and highly efficient, data driven assets.
  • Collaborate with Creative Leads and other cross-functional team members working within client’s owned brands to concept and produce advertising across multiple media formats.
  • Communicate creative direction, guidance and provide oversight to internal and external creatives teams.

Management:

  • Partner with Marketing, Media, Analytics and Program Management on developing scalable design frameworks with the goal to optimize creative performance.
  • Oversee the strategy and creative direction of consumer facing client’s owned marketing creative that strongly resonates with a range of global audiences while maintaining consistency for the brand.
  • Steward creative executions that speak to our global customer audience in the channel appropriate way, balancing the fine line between resource constraints and customization

Leadership:

  • Drive alignment across internal partners and leadership around core concepts and ideas.
  • Communicate learnings from iterative testing to inform creative concepts that are anchored in KPIs and drive consideration and demand.
  • Become a trusted and valued partner across the marketing organization, including Marketing, Program Management, Product Marketing, Analytics, and Sales.
  • Implement and iterate on best practices for marketing channels across paid and owned media, affiliates and educate cross functional teams on these best practices.
  • Partner with CDs and Design Directors to continuously inform and infuse brand work and asset creation with direct response principles.

POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Creative Director will support the Vice President, Marketing & Digital Strategy in areas of content strategy, brand management, graphic design and illustration, animation, vendor management in printing/promotion items, and reporting on creative impact. This is both a strategic and tactical role requiring a deep knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of tools and how content creation directly impacts lead generation and revenue. This position also requires experience managing multiple brands, life-cycle marketing, and various aspects of search engine optimization (SEO) and how creative impacts digital reach. The chosen candidate will be responsible for using creative content production methods to test and optimize our campaigns across platforms. Knowledge of data and reporting is required to communicate the results to ensure our online marketing efforts have the highest possible return on investment (ROI).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Develop relevant content topics to reach Northpoint’s target audience

Position Summary

The Creative Director oversees the visual brand identity and art direction of Stones Throw and its artist campaigns. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of this iconic label’s visual culture. The position leads the art department, ensuring the highest quality visual and creative aesthetic across the board. Stones Throw is proudly collaborative with its artists and this hire understands each artist’s vision and translates it to brilliant visual creative to be used across an entire marketing campaign, to engage with fans and bring each artist and the Stones Throw brand to new generations and audiences.

The Creative Director is both the curator and steward of Stones Throws’ timeless creative legacy, and at the same time breaks ground in visuals and formats to meet the needs of new generations of artists and fans. The role works and collaborates with a close-knit team, and takes the lead and executes ambitious creative that is eye-catching, timely, and cohesive. The role takes ownership over creative campaigns, art directing the big picture and ensures the details are executed to the highest standard. With a knack for storytelling and a strong background in visual design and creative work, the new hire will be able to hit the ground running, sustain and contribute to the body of iconic visuals that have been synonymous with Stones Throw for over two decades, and at the same time chart the company’s visual future.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all visual creative to ensure Stones Throw’s brand identity is maintained and kept consistent, and continues to grow and evolve.
  • Lead visual creative for the label’s emerging front-line artists as well as established and legacy artists and catalog.
  • Lead the creative aspect of label-branded campaigns e.g. brand collaborations, capsule collections, etc.
  • Work closely with artists, management and label staff to tell the artist’s story and realize their vision through compelling creative, from album art to social content assets, merch creative, advertising assets, and everything in between, from concept to completion.
  • Execute multi-platform creative for artist marketing campaigns, with a digital-forward approach.
  • As business growth allows, build a small creative team of one or two, covering art, design and layout, video, photography, graphic design, and more. Directly manage and develop a junior in-house creative and delegate select responsibilities to them.
  • Meet the unique creative needs of each artist and project, and source and commission select outside freelance creatives including visual artists, graphic designers, photographers, animators, video directors, editors, stylists, et cetera.
  • Think outside the box for creative ideas such as collaborations with brands, innovative activations and groundbreaking approaches to convey artists’ vision and engage and acquire fans.
  • Ensure Stones Throw’s deep catalog is kept active with timely reissues and repackagings that appeal to existing fans and new audiences.

Skills / Experience:

  • 7+ years of working in design, creative or art direction roles, with a breadth of experience across formats and platforms.
  • Proven track record in creating and commissioning visually compelling creative, with a strong, demonstrable proficiency in video content.
  • Deep knowledge of and immersion in the music and creative landscape, understanding of how visual creative and music interact to tell a story.
  • Creative accomplishments and skills relevant and transferable to supporting frontline music releases, music catalog, artists as brand, and label as brand.
  • An extensive network of contacts from visual artists to videographers, strong relationships in the creative industries, and an instinct for hiring the right creative for the right job.
  • Resourceful at working with independent label budgets.
  • Organized and able to juggle multiple demanding projects at once, as Stones Throw is a label with a busy release schedule.
  • An excellent communicator who can bring multiple ideas to the table, and easily and fluently illustrate creative ideas to a range of stakeholders each with different needs.
  • A profound understanding of Stones Throw’s history, audience, and musical and visual culture.
  • Knowledge of the various platforms on which creative lives and how audiences interact with it should come as second nature.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance creative innovation and boundary pushing with the realities of budgets and deadlines.
  • Strong relationship management, collaboration, delegating and mentoring skills.
  • College degree in creative/visual arts field preferred.

Compensation

Competitive salary plus health benefits, 401K matching, PTO, paid holidays (including December 24 to January 1), and other benefits. Depending on relevant experience, skills and relationships, it is anticipated that the final hire will be offered a base salary at an annual rate between $140K and $150K plus bonus.

Designsensory seeks qualified candidates for our senior designer role. We are looking for

someone who can work both independently and collaboratively on campaigns. This individual is

able to problem solve while staying mindful of our clients’ goals and balancing that with our

dedication to craft.

Objectives of this role

  • Lead and review the work of the creative teams on your assigned accounts; across digital, print, video and web
  • Spearhead and manage strategy for both small and large projects, harnessing branding, copy, art, and technology
  • Collaborate with strategy and other departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
  • Develop creative campaigns that translate objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
  • Analyze market trends, consumer needs, and the competitor landscape and craft actionable creative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Based on accounts/projects, lead a team of graphic designers and copywriters in the strategic development of deliverables
  • Guide full account team toward strategic and brand direction
  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term needs, and guide schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production 
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives within budget
  • Review and approve content developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address goals and challenges 
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for sophisticated audiences
  • Create, collaborate on, and oversee final concepts, as well as present work to clients; address feedback and approval

Required skills and qualifications

  • Ten years of experience in a design or copy-intensive role, with at least 1 years as a Creative Director in an agency or corporate setting
  • Design or art direction experience preferred; Copy background must display top-level visual acumen
  • Experience in creating creative/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print
  • Proven ability to develop successful integrated concepts
  • Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives
  • Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing or business

    The Ideal Candidate:

    The perfect fit for the Global Senior Art Director role should have a profound understanding of male sexuality, encompassing gay, bi, and straight-curious orientations, coupled with a sex-positive attitude. Familiarity with cruising culture and its significance in the LGBTQ community is a plus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and update visual brand guidelines and continually update as the brand evolves.
    • Responsible for creative development and design execution of digital & social assets, OOH materials, photography, video content, and experiential projects that advance our company’s visual design identity and brand.
    • Develop all design elements for Sniffies Merchandise, including working with merchandising team and contractors as needed for apparel launches. 
    • Responsible for crafting visually stunning content through graphic design, photography, video, and digital assets.
    • Collaborate closely with the Creative Producer, Global Digital Marketing Manager, marketing and design contractors on content & campaign ideation, review/feedback and execution of final assets. This role will report directly to the CMO.
    • Manage our content archive and Content Management System, ensuring efficient utilization of our extensive content library.
    • Oversee and contribute to photo and video editing tasks.
    • Manage, delegate, and guide tasks among design and other contractors involved in project development.
    • Stay current on design and industry trends, adapting to best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven track record as an Art Director / Creative Director / Graphic Designer.
    • Hands-on experience with logo design, typography, color theory, layout design, print production, image selection, and package design.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
    • Demonstrable graphic design skills, showcased in a robust portfolio.
    • Ability to incorporate feedback and effectively give/take direction.
    • Team player with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
    • Relevant education or training.

    Sniffies

    The Art Director will work collaboratively with the Creative Director to develop seasonal campaign concepts for MFF brands. They will be responsible for content creation for MFF brands with a focus on video concepting and editing This role will provide art direction at photoshoots and manage pre and post production as it relates to assets. Additionally they will support ecommerce business need and Develop, execute and deliver web creative assets including homepages, landing pages, paid social, emails, banners and video for MFF brand. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a passion for delivering dynamic ideas that connect with our audience. The art director must stay current in competitive landscape with emphasis on design trends, video and branding in social channels. This role will report to our NYC office on a hybrid schedule, 3 days in office/2 days WFH.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and create assets for the MFF brand, projects include photo shoots, video, web assets, social media content, photography retouching, email
    • Conceptualize seasonal campaign vision and implement it across all touchpoints:
    • e-commerce, paid social marketing, wholesale and others
    • Work with motion assets including video editing, gifs and animations
    • Content creation with focus on Tik Tok and Instagram channels
    • Provide art direction on set at photoshoots, may be required to travel
    • Partner with marketing to define and evolve the expression of the MFF brands across all channels
    • Project manage monthly ecommerce production with cross functional team members, from creative brief through execution
    • Deliver creative that drives business results, learning from performance, while staying true to the brand voice
    • Contribute to brainstorms by providing big ideas and creative insights
    • Work with agency partners to ensure that any assets created by agencies, remain true to the brand

    Qualifications

    • 7-10+ years of art direction, brand identity and graphic design
    • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
    • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Figma
    • Solid knowledge of photography and video production
    • Video editing experience, knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro a plus
    • Strong creative vision with attention to business objectives
    • Strong communication skills, able to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical timelines and have a positive attitude
    • Are a strong conceptual thinker who can work in a collaborative environment with different cross-functional partners
    • Possess a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to produce creative and effective marketing materials through the combination of typography, photography and layout
    • Have pre-production concepting and location/studio photoshoot experience
    • Knowledge of UX/HTML not required but a PLUS
    • Can work in fast paced environments with quick turnaround times
