We are seeking a Vice President to join our consumer lifestyle team in the NY office, currently remote. The Vice President plays a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of DeVries Public Relations. A VP is responsible for managing the client relationship and teams and is accountable for delivering contracted work on time and within budget, staffing accounts appropriately and producing high-quality work and excellent results. The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated record of developing and executing successful public relations strategies and programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client
- Serve as senior strategic counsel for the client
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients on a daily basis
- Develop quality standards and ensure client satisfaction
- Develop long-term plans and program recommendations for clients
- Act on the front lines for any issues or challenges related to the business or team
- Responsible for client relations, review meetings, entertaining and client budget approval
- Develop and deliver client presentations
Media and Influencer Relations
- Solid understanding of how to craft relevant stories across all media types
- Evaluate/counsel team members’ pitching skills and makes time to train teams
- Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of client relevant media
- Maintain roster of key media contacts
- Must have baseline level of knowledge and expertise re: social platforms and paid/owned/earned model
- Guides the team in making high-profile influencer strategy recommendations, establishing criteria and ensuring that the approach meets the client’s objectives
- Understands digital influencer landscape – selection, collaboration, activation
- Internal (client) and external (e.g. celebrity) spokesperson management
- Develop and manage brand relationship and presence on new media through earned influencer programs
Written & Oral Skills
- Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a strategic and compelling manner
- Supervise all team writing and editing and makes time to train teams
- Be accountable for and have control over final review of all presentations, memos, meeting reports and client materials
- Work closely with senior management to develop strategic and creative recommendations
- Extremely comfortable with plan/idea presentation; compelling speaking style
Budgeting
- Understands DeVries’ business model and staffing
- Comfortable managing up to $1M of client revenue
- Strong sense of how to hunt for organic opportunities for growth
- Create and execute accurate budget estimates for clients for long-term and short-term programs and adhere to approved funds
- Overall budget management (Fee and OOP tracking)
- Authorize billing invoices and if necessary, follow-up with past-due invoices to clients
Team Management
- Elevates successes and challenges appropriately to supervisor
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to account team(s)
- Develop and coach account teams for peak performance
- Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency
- Be key contact for internal staff to address issues
- Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations
- Attend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedback
- Help structure and staff new and existing project teams, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
- Ensure that account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines
- Conduct performance reviews
- Make recommendations regarding salary increases, promotions, etc.
- Serve as a role model to other team members
New Business Development

As an Executive Producer, you are a senior production leader with deep B2B experiential expertise. You are accountable for the successful delivery, financial health, and team leadership across complex programs and tech clients. You bring rigor to process, confidence to client relationships, and calm leadership to fast-moving environments.
You operate with a high-level view across programs while staying close enough to the work to anticipate risk, guide decision-making, and step in when needed. You are a champion for your teams, a trusted partner to clients, and a steward of the agency’s standards, budgets, and culture.
This role is based in San Francisco and reports directly to senior leadership.
Program & Account Leadership
- Own the successful delivery of multiple complex B2B experiential programs from pre-production through reconciliation
- Maintain a high-level understanding of all active projects, proactively identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities
- Ensure programs are appropriately staffed and resourced based on scope, complexity, and timing
- Step in as needed to support execution, decision-making, or issue resolution during critical moments
Client Partnership
- Serve as a senior, trusted production partner to clients, ensuring clarity around scope, roles, timelines, budgets, and decision-making
- Participate in the development of integrated solutions that leverage agency capabilities and deliver mutual value
- Guide the development and presentation of incremental proposals, scopes of work, staffing plans, and schedules
- Ensure all project changes are clearly communicated, approved, and documented
- Uphold consistency across programs while tailoring approaches to client needs
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and support production teams with a clear point of view, fostering accountability, growth, and collaboration
- Act as a visible champion for your teams, ensuring they feel supported, heard, and set up for success
- Coach and mentor producers and coordinators, reinforcing best practices in execution, communication, and financial management
- Partner closely with Resource Management to ensure smooth team integration and sustainable workloads
- Create learning opportunities for both staff and freelance team members, particularly around budgeting, reconciliation, and agency tools
Creative & Production Excellence
- Partner with Creative and Account leadership to ensure production is embedded early and effectively in the creative process
- Participate in creative brief development and ensure feasibility, integrity, and executional excellence
- Protect the integrity of the creative vision across all deliverables while balancing scope, budget, and timeline
- Continually seek innovative production solutions, methodologies, and partners
Financial & Budget Management
- Own the fiscal health of programs and accounts, including forecasting, budget tracking, and reconciliation
- Actively participate in finance meetings and forecasting conversations
- Oversee third-party costs, vendor agreements, and freelance engagements
- Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
- Review and approve reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and accountability against approved budgets

- 8–10+ years of experiential marketing or client services experience, with at least 5 years leading complex B2B experiential programs (specifically in the tech industry)
- Proven experience owning budgets, forecasts, and financial outcomes across multiple programs
- Strong people leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and developing teams
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Confidence operating with senior clients and internal stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Procim, or similar tools is a plus

- Develop and lead generation of program ideas and concept development balancing client objectives and budget parameters, engaging cross-functional teams as appropriate
- Establish and ensure processes are followed by team members, review projects for quality assurance purposes and ensure that both internal and client reviews take place
- Work to develop and articulate innovative strategies (challenging existing norms and conventional thinking) to achieve predetermined client strategy goals and objectives
- Effectively negotiate with stakeholders and vendors and build strong relationships
- Proactively address risk management
Client Focus / Relationship Management
- Conversant in client’s business strategy (may start to help frame elements of it) and maintains focus on that strategy and client goals and objectives; look for opportunities to position out-of-scope work as incremental projects
- Able to reframe / guide client expectations
Budget Support
- Can lead complex projects in their entirety while having an overview of all processes and tasks, taking ownership in current processes and accountable for shaping new ones
- Able to budget time – you know how much time it takes to produce and execute along with the roles and responsibilities that accompany it
Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams including creative, technical, etc.
