Role Summary

Job Description

Focus Features is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Creative Advertising team within the Marketing department of Focus Features. The position will report to the Vice President, Creative Advertising and is a great opportunity to interact with numerous film group teams at Focus Features and NBC Universal.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Phone coverage
  • Maintain calendar and schedule meetings
  • Digital filing
  • Travel arrangements
  • Expense reports
  • Printing materials as necessary
  • Maintain daily schedule and flow of the Creative Advertising office
  • Liaise with other departments and creative vendors for Creative Advertising issues and requests
  • Enter purchase orders in SAP; code and process invoices
  • Maintain and organize Creative Exploratory
  • Handling NDAs (Non-disclosure agreements)
  • Culling competitive campaigns

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (degree in marketing or art is preferred)
  • Previous administrative experience supporting executives in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs
  • Proficiency with Photoshop/Illustrator/QuickTime a plus

Job Description

NBC News is looking for a highly motivated Associate Producer with a passion for news on all platforms (broadcast, digital, and mobile). In this position you will work directly with bureau desks, producers, senior producers, and correspondents to help pitch, write and produce news content for broadcast and the web in a 24 month program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with full scope of production including research, booking, pre-interviewing
  • Digital journalism including shooting video and stills, and editing skills are required
  • Write and produce segments, broadcast and online stories and produce live shots
  • Gather visual elements and assist with editing for segment production
  • Coordinate with technical and operations staff and outside resources selected by producers
  • Produce and pitch story ideas and content to all platforms
  • Learn various desk roles & responsibilities in each bureau and Network Operations

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have at least two years editorial production experience at a network, cable or digital outlet.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have developed digital journalism skills for laptop editing, shooting, latakoo, live-u.
  • Must be social media savvy & proficient in finding, attracting, licensing, and tracking user generated content

Job Purpose

Working within the Reality and Specials sub-vertical, the Manager will be responsible for helping the team’s Senior Director and Specialist with ideating, presenting and executing multi-platform partnerships across linear, digital and social platforms that connect NBC’s advertising clients to the network’s various Unscripted and Specials programming.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Creative Partnerships, NBC Entertainment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sr. Director and Specialist to identify opportunities and lead the creation of presentation materials (decks, one-sheets, write-ups, etc.) for innovative Ad Sales solutions that tap into NBCU’s extensive marketing platform
  • Assess and evaluate all creative product and materials to ensure brand objectives and quality standards are met
  • Assist with managing the execution of all sold partnerships
  • Collaborate with Research and Trade Marketing to craft pre- and post-sales materials, including pitch and recap decks, e-blasts, case studies, sizzle reels and award show submissions
  • Assist with clipping of all executed partnerships
  • Ownership of helping to organize, publish, and socialize all client-facing and proactive Sales materials on company SharePoint site
  • Assist with updating status and other organizational documents, including production timelines and meeting agendas
  • Liaise with NBCU stakeholders, including but not limited to Ad Sales, Programming, Consumer Marketing, Business Affairs, Legal, Portfolio Creative Partnerships, Digital and Strategic Partners, Publicity, Research, Finance, etc. and external entities (production companies, clients, media and creative agencies, etc.) to communicate client goals and secure requisite input/approvals for partnership creative
  • Assist in developing strategic social and digital campaign activations across all partnership opportunities
  • Understand and assist with partnership budgets and invoice requests with NBC Finance and Ad Sales
  • Handle special projects and pro-active cause-based pitches as needed by the NBC Creative Partnerships team at large

  • Experience and extensive knowledge working with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, emerging social and digital platforms and developing trends
  • Thorough knowledge of brand and media marketing, the sales process and media in general, as well as advertising within the Digital eco-system
  • Creative thinker – ability to generate ideas and new concepts/positioning as it relates to the advertiser product/brand. Proven experience writing and delivering pitches. Enjoys being a part of the creative development process
