Job Description

NBCUniversal is looking for a Senior Manager of Consumer Insights to design, execute and socialize primary research insights across a variety of brands including NBC, Bravo, E!, USA, SYFY, Oxygen, and Universal Kids.

This position will work closely with groups across the organization – including content development, production, marketing, brand strategy, press, and Peacock – to represent the opinions, attitudes, preferences, and behaviors of a wide range of consumers. This individual will be a critical player within the team tasked with executing primary research and conducting robust analysis in support of the team’s strategic objectives. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Content and Consumer Insights, and work with stakeholders across the organization with a core area of focus that includes competitive unscripted content, scripted content, social media reporting, and media landscape trends.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct custom qualitative/quantitative research projects (such as online surveys, focus groups, online communities, etc.) including pilot tests, concept/casting tests, series maintenance, talent evaluations, brand research, etc.
  • Manage research needs around competitive unscripted and scripted programming and development. Likewise, collaborate with development, production and marketing leaders to help inform audience-building strategies, and evaluate content and creative.
  • Ideate and execute big-picture strategic projects, examining larger genres, themes, trends, and/or research frameworks to drive the long-term strategy of our brands.
  • Supervise and manage research vendors/partners, keeping track of key project details such as timing, recruitment of respondents, survey programming, and data output, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Consult with internal clients on their various initiatives, drawing on overall knowledge of viewers and best practices gleaned through research.
  • Integrate primary insights with other types of data, pulling together findings to create an integrated narrative, and contextualizing viewer attitudes and opinions in behavioral data.

Salary range: $105,000 – $115,000 (Bonus Eligible)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in market research, ideally in a content and/or media-related field

NBC Sports is seeking an Email Marketing Manager to join our team. This position will be based in Stamford, CT. An ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual that will lead a team of email marketing specialists focused on execution and optimization for our email and mobile marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for building out the necessary strategy, tactics, campaigns, and creative to deliver on program goals. They will play an integral role in building, delivering, and measuring campaigns aimed at these goals through current channels, as well as developing the roadmap for a clear A/B testing framework of new channels, such as SMS, QR codes, and in-app messaging. Job Description

The Promotions-Special Projects Producer is responsible for writing creative copy, editing videos, and making graphics for NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut promotional campaigns. The Promotions- Special Projects Producer will collaborate cross-departmentally to expand our promotional value via linear and non-linear platforms, including social media, over-the-top media, community initiative and lifestyle programming.

In addition to creating memorable promotions for the station’s marketing, the Promotions-Special Projects Producer will also help execute station events and corporate tentpole programs to achieve positive and productive relations between the duopoly and the community. Responsibilities of this position include planning and coordinating with the News Department, talent participation, and news coverage for all events to serve and advance the stations’ community brand. The position will also work directly with members of the public and specific community groups.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce strong creative marketing ideas that are primarily TV focused, but are inclusive of our overall multi-platform objectives, including digital & OTT efforts.
  • Coordinate and produce station PSAs – e.g. Community Connection updates, division initiatives like Clear the Shelters, Supporting Our Schools etc.

  • Produce content for social media platforms following digital industry trends (IG, Twitter, FB, TikTok)
  • Collaborate with Creative Services team on creation long form content and oversee certain aspects of show production.

  • Strong understanding and demonstration of editorial judgment and journalistic ethics, including a current knowledge of laws of libel, slander and applicable FCC rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize decisions and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently in a high pressure, breaking news environment
  • Effective self-starter with the proven ability to generate and produce original news stories
  • Understanding of emerging news production techniques and technology, with a pioneering spirit with desire to learn emerging technologies and invent the future
  • Good collaborative and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as television reporter in top 30 market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of strong writing, visual storytelling and live reporting skills Demonstrated ability to perform non-linear editing and shooting workflow
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desired

Eligibility Requirements

Salary: $125,000 – $300,000 DOE
