Casting Call: Eminem/Slim Shady Look-Alike for Complex Photoshoot

Job Description:

Esprit Casting is seeking a male look-alike for a major hip hop artist (Eminem/Slim Shady) for an upcoming complex photoshoot. This project will feature an iconic look and requires someone who can embody the unique features and eccentric style of Eminem/Slim Shady.

Job Responsibilities:

• Modeling: Pose for a series of professional photos that capture the essence of Eminem/Slim Shady.

• Styling: Collaborate with the styling team to achieve the desired look.

• Professionalism: Maintain a professional attitude throughout the photoshoot.

• Punctuality: Arrive on time and be prepared for a full day of shooting (10 to 12 hours).

Requirements:

• Gender: Male

• Ethnicity: Caucasian/Eastern European

• Age: 18 to 40 years old

• Appearance: Must have unique and eccentric features that resemble Eminem/Slim Shady

• Location: Must be able to travel to Detroit, MI for the photoshoot

Compensation:

Overview:
We are excited to announce an upcoming music video shoot in the Detroit area! We are seeking three professional stand-ins to work closely with our film crew and actors. Positions Available:

1. Stand-In #1

   • Ethnicity: Caucasian
   • Height: Approximately 5ft 8in (must be within an inch)
   • Build: Slim
   • Hair: Short, dark, with a short beard

2. Stand-In #2

   • Ethnicity: African-American
   • Height: Approximately 5ft 8in (must be within an inch)
   • Build: Athletic
   • Hair: Short to medium length, may or may not have a short beard

3. Stand-In #3

   • Ethnicity: Caucasian
   • Height: Approximately 5ft 7in (must be within an inch)
   • Build: Thin
   • Hair: Longer, brown or black, no beard, moustache optional

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the director and crew to ensure scenes are set up accurately.
• Stand in for actors during lighting setups and camera rehearsals.
• Follow directions from the film director and crew.
• Maintain a professional demeanor on set at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a stand-in or background actor preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Reliable transportation to and from the set.
• Full availability on the day of the shoot.

Compensation:

Casting Call: Tim Horton’s Commercial

We are casting for a new Tim Horton’s commercial, seeking genuine Tim Horton’s fans or individuals familiar with the brand. This opportunity is perfect for those who love the camera and enjoy Tim Horton’s products. We’re capturing the spirit of Tim Horton’s through its loyal customers!

Job Responsibilities:

1. Performing On-Camera: Act according to the director’s guidance, portraying either a dedicated Tim Horton’s customer or a casual visitor to the brand.

2. Product Interaction: Willingness to try various Tim Horton’s products on camera, including new and existing items on the menu.

3. Promotional Representation: Serve as a brand enthusiast during the shoot, demonstrating a genuine appreciation or curiosity for Tim Horton’s offerings.

Looking For:

1. Male, 55-65: You are a dedicated Tim Horton’s fan who visits frequently enough to order with ease, primarily enjoying hot beverages but open to trying something new.

2. Female, Gen Z, 20-27: You are familiar with Tim Horton’s but it’s not always your first choice. Your preference leans towards cold beverages like cold brews or frappuccinos, and you’re open to exploring more of what Tim Horton’s has to offer.

Requirements:

• Must be local to Detroit or willing to travel at own expense.

• Must be comfortable with being filmed and trying various menu items.

• No dietary restrictions as the role requires trying products that may include dairy, sweeteners, and caffeine.

• Experience in acting or commercial work is a plus but not required.

Compensation Details:

• Filming Pay: $500 for a 10-hour day of filming.

• Usage Rights: An additional $750 for the use of your likeness in the commercial for a period of 6 months.

Casting Call: Seeking Mandarin Speaking Actor for Student Film

Job Details:

This student film, operating under the SAG-AFTRA Micro Budget Agreement, is seeking a talented individual to play the role of Jin, a college student with a deep fascination for ceramics who struggles to connect with his art due to the impersonal nature of his AI instructor. This is a last-minute replacement casting call, so prompt submissions are encouraged.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray the character of Jin, bringing to life his despondence and rebellion against the artificial instructor in a compelling manner.

• Work closely with the director and crew to achieve the vision of the film.

• Participate in all scheduled filming days and any required rehearsals.

• Contribute to promotional activities as reasonably requested by the production team.

Requirements:

• Asian Male, age 17-30.

• Must speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. Fluency must be noted in your submission.

• Able to convey a wide range of emotions, particularly frustration and rebellion.

• Previous acting experience preferred but not required.

• Must be available for all filming dates and willing to travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan, if not locally based.

• Union and Non-Union actors are welcome to apply.

Compensation Details:

• Talent will be compensated at $250 per day for three days of filming.

• For talent traveling from outside of Michigan, the production offers a $60 per-diem on travel days (March 13 and March 17).

• Flight, transportation, and lodging for the duration of the production will be provided and covered for non-local talent.

Job Description:

DNA is excited to announce the opening of applications for the Emerging Filmmaker Fellowship for 2024. This prestigious opportunity is designed for BIPOC media-based storytellers based in Detroit who are looking to make a significant impact in the film industry. We are committed to nurturing talent and providing a platform for creative expression and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce a short film, either a documentary or a narrative project, within the fellowship period.
• Participate actively in mentorship sessions, professional development workshops, and networking events organized by DNA.
• Collaborate with mentors and peers to refine storytelling and filmmaking skills.
• Engage in all aspects of film production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing.
• Present the completed short film at the conclusion of the fellowship.

Requirements:

• Identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color).
• Reside in or be willing to relocate to Detroit for the duration of the fellowship.
• Possess a demonstrated interest and some experience in filmmaking, storytelling, or related media fields.
• Propose a project that is impact-driven, historical, personal, and/or experimental in nature.
• Commit to full participation in the 18-month program, including all scheduled workshops, meetings, and events.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.

Compensation:

• A total of $25,000 will be provided for the creation of the short film.
• An additional $15,000 stipend will be distributed incrementally throughout the fellowship to compensate for time and participation in the program.
