Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

We are looking for a creative services producer that will help with planning, oversight and execution across multiple creative deliverables in the marketing department of Crunchyroll. This producer liaises with internal and external partners in the creation (concepting, development and production) of creative marketing assets both on and off our platform. This role is integral to bringing all pieces of creative together.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Project Management / Producing – Proactively manage multiple design and video projects for all lines of business within the marketing organization.
- Must be an effective liaison between various stakeholders within Crunchyroll as well as external agencies and vendors.
- Plan and schedule kick-offs, review sessions and presentations based on project schedule.
- Work closely with stakeholders, strategists, VP, CDs, and ACDs to ensure projects stay on target.
- Create detailed notes and next steps. Responsible for regular project updates, including but not limited to budget, schedule, resources, and progress on deliverables.
- Confirm that all requirements and specifications are accurate throughout the project and all internal processes and workflows are maintained. Ensure successful project delivery including actualized budget, internal archiving etc.
- Required to meet budgets and quick-turnaround deadlines.
- Ability to quickly pivot and adapt to our ever-changing industry without losing focus on our business goals
Communication and Collaboration – Collaborate with global stakeholders, strategists, VP Creative, CDs , and ACDs for all department level needs. Oversee project communication (internal and external) to ensure professional and friendly tone.
- Build a positive relationship throughout the project with lines of business and channel marketers.
- Proactively anticipate and address project needs with appropriate solutions. Participate in review sessions and presentations to help further the overall project goals.
New Project Facilitation – Define marketing project expectation and goals in collaboration with key project stakeholders.
- Create, iterate, and track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets in order to achieve project alignment and approval.
- Build a detailed project plan within the project management system (Wrike), including internal and licensor review considerations, budget, schedule, deliverables, and creative team assigned.
- Maintain familiarity with entertainment industry culture and marketing project management tools and processes.
- Exhibit a willingness to take on responsibilities outside of their job description and the ability to respond to business demands in a fast-paced environment.
Work Requirements:
- 3+ years in project management in entertainment marketing services, creative service agencies, network promotions or a similar field (broadcast, digital, print, and experiential a plus)
- 2+ years of relevant experience at a high-growth technology company; Media and Entertainment experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication, strong collaboration, problem solving, time and project management
- Ability to manage projects from concept through execution.

Empire Entertainment is a dynamic, full-service event production company that conceptualizes, designs, and executes entertainment-driven projects for corporations, associations, not-for-profits, and private interests. Based in New York City and Los Angeles, we produce over 100 projects annually including concerts, award shows, charity galas, premieres, and public-facing promotional events.
We are seeking intelligent, organized, resourceful and energetic NYC-based candidates to support the Empire Entertainment team in the creation and management of live and virtual events. The successful candidate will be able to complete large volumes of varied tasks, work diligently and with appropriate urgency, communicate efficiently and effectively with the teams one is supporting, and creatively solve challenges that arise within the day-to-day work of event production.
Responsibilities
- Support Producers in coordinating, planning, managing, and producing events
- Conduct research for event elements including potential venues, talent, entertainment, guest services, innovative event and décor concepts, new technologies, branding initiatives, permitting requirements, etc., and update company databases with all new information
- Support Producers in building venue, talent, and creative proposals for new and current clients
- Lead and produce project elements or segments, scope pending on project needs – including reporting directly to clients on planning and progress (under the guidance of the Producer)
- Work with Producers to draft proposals, budgets, production schedules, run of shows, and other deliverables documents and more
- Take and circulate notes for all project calls as well as track all emails and update master project documents accordingly (often supported by a project coordinator)
- Track all project deliverables
- Assist Producers in the coordinating and scheduling of all project meetings and calls
- Contract project-based vendors and freelancers, coordinate payments and invoicing
- Work onsite through load-in, event, and load-out, overseeing various components of events and / or vendors efficiently, and with professionalism
- Oversee staffing plan on projects assigned, for onsite (or virtual) staff, conducting walkthroughs, training, etc.
- Work with Producers to draft case studies on completed projects to live on company website
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in the event and entertainment industry
- NYC-based applicants
- Extensive knowledge of the event production process, and with standard event documents such as production schedules, run of shows, etc.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely and responsible manner
- Proficient in vendor contracts (being able to work with talent contracts is a plus)
- Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative, follow through, and attention to detail
- Creative problem-solver with an ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Google Drive and Dropbox
- Eagerness and ability to work long hours onsite, managing small teams and event components with composure and professionalism
- Familiarity with and / or interest in current musical, theatrical and comedy talent, is a plus
- Familiarity with NYC-based production vendors is a plus
- Familiarity with virtual events on various platforms is a plus

As this is a college project, it won’t be paid but we will provide transportation, food on set, clear and professional communication and we promise this will be a great project to add to your portfolio.

Here is some information on the short film:
The production of this short film has as aim, to portray and provide an insight into real recurring acts of misconduct towards the Asian community in Dublin since the surge of Covid-19, which are not experienced by people outside of this community.
Our short film, “Maro”, is based on one main character, Maro, a Japanese man based in Dublin who sees himself going through a narrative loop as the different acts of discrimination happen and as they build-up. The narrative loop will follow four different days with different events that will build-up as the character progresses in the film.
The four events will be based on real events that took place in Ireland through 2019-2021 to different individuals, but all these different stories will be represented by the one character, Maro.
Our film is set to last between sixteen and twenty minutes, it will be set in three different locations, Maro’s house, a coffee shop and Dublin streets.
We aim to start shooting in February 2022 in Dublin.
