Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a general background actor under the direction of the production team.
  • Participate in various scenes as required, adhering to the director’s instructions and production guidelines.
  • Be available for wardrobe fittings, if necessary, and maintain costume integrity throughout the production.
  • Maintain professionalism on set, including punctuality, interaction with crew and fellow cast members, and adherence to set rules.

Requirements:

  • Open to any gender, ethnicity, and individuals 18 years of age and older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; must not be currently attending classes.
  • Ability to follow directions and work well under the dynamic conditions of a film set.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, as shooting days can vary and may require early starts or late finishes.
  • Own a vehicle that is not red or white, if willing to be booked with it (not mandatory).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the location of the shoot.
  • Previous acting or background work experience is beneficial but not required.

Compensation Details:

  • Pay Rate: $126.40 for up to 8 hours of work. This is a flat rate and not based on an hourly calculation.
  • Overtime: Time and a half is paid for any hours worked beyond 8 hours.
  • Vehicle Bump: An additional $35 will be added to your pay if booked with your vehicle to be parked on set.
  • Payment will be processed according to production’s payroll policy.

Job Details: We are currently seeking talented individuals for a production of Anton Chekhov’s “A Marriage Proposal.” The roles are as follows:

  1. Male Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-40
  2. Male/Female Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 50-60
  3. Female Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-35

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend all scheduled rehearsals from March 11th to March 29th.
  • Participate in all performances scheduled for March 30th and 31st.
  • Collaborate with the director and fellow actors to bring the play to life.
  • Study and rehearse lines, songs, and movements as appropriate for the role.
  • For the musician role: Provide musical accompaniment as needed during rehearsals and performances.

Requirements:
