Casting Call: Actors and Musician for “A Marriage Proposal”
Job Details: We are currently seeking talented individuals for a production of Anton Chekhov’s “A Marriage Proposal.” The roles are as follows:
- Male Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-40
- Male/Female Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 50-60
- Female Actor, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-35
- Male/Female Musician, South Asian, Hindi-speaking, playing age 25-40
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend all scheduled rehearsals from March 11th to March 29th.
- Participate in all performances scheduled for March 30th and 31st.
- Collaborate with the director and fellow actors to bring the play to life.
- Study and rehearse lines, songs, and movements as appropriate for the role.
- For the musician role: Provide musical accompaniment as needed during rehearsals and performances.
Requirements:
- Must be South Asian and Hindi-speaking as per the character descriptions.
- Able to play within the specified age range.
- Previous acting experience preferred (for actors).
- Proficient in musical performance (for the musician role).
- Must have a Midlands base, as the rehearsals and performances are in Birmingham.
- Reliable and committed to the duration of the project.
Compensation Details:
- Fee: £600/Week
- The fee is applicable for the rehearsal and performance period.
