  • Description: We are casting for the role of Anna, a woman in her early 30s. We welcome candidates who are white, diverse, or ethnically ambiguous. Anna is a dutiful daughter celebrating the news that her mother, Robin, is now cancer-free. The scene captures a moment of pure joy, relief, and excitement within a hospital setting. Anna and her mother share a warm embrace, symbolizing victory over cancer. This poignant scene is observed by Deb, a new patient, instilling her with confidence and hope.
  • Responsibilities: Portray authentic emotions of joy and relief, engage in a non-verbal performance that effectively communicates the story.
  • Requirements: Female, early 30s, open to all ethnicities. Strong non-verbal acting skills required. Must be able to express a wide range of emotions convincingly. Local talent preferred, or must be able to work as a local in Syracuse and Albany.
  • Compensation: $400/day for a 1-day shoot, plus an additional $400 for usage rights.
  • Location & Availability: The shoot will take place in Syracuse. Availability for another 1-day shoot in mid-April in Albany is necessary.

Project Description: We are casting for a heartwarming and inspirational oncology campaign for a Syracuse hospital. This campaign is designed to showcase the journey of resilience, strength, and hope experienced by cancer patients, their family members, and the healthcare teams who support them. The campaign will be aired in the Albany Region and Central New York areas.

Roles:

  • Robin: Female, 60+ years old, of any ethnicity (white, diverse, or ethnically ambiguous). This role requires the ability to convey authentic emotions such as joy, relief, and excitement. Robyn is a mother who has just learned she’s cancer-free. The scene involves celebrating this news in a hospital room with her adult daughter, symbolizing a moment of joy and hope for other patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray the assigned character with authenticity and depth, contributing to the narrative of hope and resilience.
  • Participate in the filming process, taking direction from the director and collaborating with other cast members.
  • Be present and prepared for all scheduled shooting dates and times.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a local talent or able to work as a local in Syracuse and Albany.
  • Available for a 1-day shoot in Syracuse and another 1-day shoot in mid-April in Albany.
  • Previous acting experience is preferred but not mandatory.

    • Role Description: The role involves portraying a woman recently diagnosed with cancer, deeply immersed in researching her treatment options. Initially, she is seen studying chess theory, symbolizing her careful consideration and strategic planning in dealing with her diagnosis. The character undergoes an emotional transformation, from initial uncertainty to gaining confidence and optimism after an informative appointment at the hospital. In the final scene, she is back at home, playing chess with renewed optimism and confidence in her decisions. This is a non-speaking role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a 2-day shoot in Syracuse and a 1-day shoot in Albany (mid-April).
