The ideal candidate will have experience in exhibition production and management, with a background in museums considered a significant asset but not required. We value a deep understanding of event operations, audience engagement, and the ability to integrate artistic vision with operational excellence to produce compelling and resonant shows. While it is preferable for the candidate to work from our New York office, this is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production from concept to execution, aligning with both museum standards and visitor expectations when applicable.
- Serve as the primary liaison among museum professionals, general managers, intellectual/physical property owners, production teams, and creative partners.
- Evaluate projects for financial viability and cultural impact, leading decision-making processes.
- Negotiate partnerships, manage contracts, and oversee the development of investment materials, maintaining alignment with industry norms.
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and financial management, working with both external and internal teams.
- Develop strategies for recurring exhibitions, ensuring a dynamic and engaging presence.
- Serve as the primary museum/venue contact when necessary, managing correspondence, contracts, and stakeholder relations.
- Manage the production lifecycle from planning through de-installation.
Requirements:
