The Simpsons showrunner Al Jean reveals when he thinks The Simpsons will end.
The Simpsons is a part of American culture, and it’s not going anywhere for a long time. The longest-running primetime series in American history is now entering their 27th seasons, and it’s already been renewed for season 28. That’s more than 600 episodes.
Even though ratings aren’t what they used to be, The Simpsons remains a hit in the all-important 18 to 40 demographic and will continue to be a merchandise machine for another 10 to 20 years.
But showrunner Al Jean reveals he does have an end date in mind. When asked by the Hollywood Reporter about going beyond season 30, he said:
“It’s quite possible that we don’t have to go through the whole negotiation for 30. I wouldn’t be stunned if we stopped at 28, but my bet is on at least 30. But then you’d have to resign them again. If you made me pick one, I’d say the likeliest is ending after 30, but I’ve been wrong before. I thought five seasons was good when I got there.” (Via)
Homer is generally considered to be 38 years old but, his age fluctuates depending on the season. That means if The Simpsons does indeed end after 30 seasons, in 2018, everyone born before 1981 will be older than him. That’s pretty scary. We’re already five years beyond the events of “Lisa’s Wedding”.

Welch’s Fruit snacks is basically just candy according to this new lawsuit.
One of the most frustrating things about grocery shopping is that nearly everything is marketed as delicious and healthy. You have “healthy” alternatives to candy, cookies, and choose but, it turns out that even those snacks that promise to fortify the body with “vitamins and nutrients” may be nothing more than candy in disguise. That’s right. Even the stuff that’s “made with real fruit” and “contains no preservatives.”
Two women have filed a class action lawsuit against Welch’s fruit snacks for their misleading marketing practices, which suggest Welch’s fruit snacks are healthy and good for you when they’re really “just as bad as a pack of Gummy Bears,” Slate reports. And it’s not just Welch’s: Annie’s Homegrown Organic Bunny Snacks, which are all pretty popular for Whole Food shoppers.
Let’s start with the sugar. A single serving of the Apple Orchard Medley flavor of Welch’s Fruit Snacks contains 11 grams—nearly three teaspoons’ worth—which means that 43 percent of every bite your kid takes is pure sugar. The Bernie’s Farm flavor of Annie’s Fruit Snacks is worse, composed of 48 percent sugar. By comparison, Haribo Gold-Bears, otherwise known as gummi bears, contain 46 percent sugar, so they’re pretty similar. Yet Gold-Bears also provide 2 grams of protein per serving, and Welch’s and Annie’s provide only a negligible amount. (Some research suggests that protein can boost satiety.)
If all these snacks are equally unhealthy, then why are their ingredient lists so different? Well, apparently they are not so different after all. Apparently Welch’s just disguises their ingredients.
Annie’s Fruit Snacks, on the other hand, list “organic tapioca syrup” as the first ingredient, which sounds healthy but is basically just sugar made from the cassava plant. The next two ingredients are organic cane sugar and organic tapioca syrup solids—more sugar. (But aren’t we relieved it was organically grown?) Looking at Welch’s: Up until recently, most flavors listed “fruit juices from concentrate” as the first ingredient, which the U.S. Department of Agriculture considers yet another synonym for added sugar. This summer, though, Welch’s changed the formulation of many flavors and now uses “fruit puree” as a first ingredient. Still, fruit purees are often very high in sugar. And, anyway, the next two ingredients on the list are corn syrup and sugar.
But, what about those vitamins? The two women who filed the lawsuit against Welch’s have covered that as well. According to the complaint, the company is being accused of illegally trying to pass their food off as “good for you” by fortifying it with vitamins and minerals to fool consumers into a false sense of comfort. In addition, according to Slate, vitamin C is commonly used as a preservative, so any claims that Welch’s and its competitors snacks are “preservative free” may just be a lie.
And there’s one major thing you should know before you pick up a bag of Welch’s fruit snacks. You are getting over charged.
For what they are, they’re crazy expensive. At my local grocery store, I can buy 14 ounces of Haribo Gold-Bears for $2.99. By comparison, nine ounces of Welch’s Fruit Snacks cost $2.89, and a mere four ounces of Annie’s Fruit Snacks cost $3.99. That makes Annie’s snacks almost five times more expensive than the candy they so closely resemble.
It’s just easier to pretend the food we are eating is healthy than to pay attention to what we are eating.
AMC to launch ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ zombie airplane web series this fall.
Last month, word spread that AMC was planning on bringing a standalone episode of Fear the Walking Dead to the public. Presented in the same way as The Walking Dead webisodes that ahve been featured online for previous seasons. Variety is reporting that a 16-episode Fear the Walking Dead web series is set to launch this October.
Titled Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462, the story “follows a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during an early outbreak.” Each short episode will explore the lives of those on the plane and how one infected traveler effects the passengers on board. The premiere webisode will go live on AMC.com on October 4, and will subsequently air during two commercial breaks during the season six premiere of The Walking Dead a week later. After the October 11 return of Rick and the goonies, new webisodes of Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 will air online and throughout the sixth season of the network’s hit TV series.
According to reports, one of the characters featured in this new web series will end up surviving the in-flight chaos and join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead for its 15-episode second season.
Kylie Jenner, the youngest Kardashian/Jenner has found herself in the middle of a controversy after pictures emerge of her giving her friend a birthday cake decorated with the N-word.
Kylie Jenner has found herself in the middle of a controversy after making a N-word cake. Recently, Kylie Jenner hosted a party for her best friend Jordyn Woods’ 18th birthday last week where a cake was displayed with the message, “Happy Birthday Nigga.” Jenner says she was not responsible for the cake and posted a photo on Instagram of an inoffensive cake along with the caption: “My cute little cake to Jordyn the other day. The other one was not my gift.”

Now, we don’t know who actually sent Woods that N-word cake–that Kylie proudly snapchatted to her millions of followers–but she didn’t seem to be offended by any of this. In fact, she seemed to enjoy it, sharing images and videos of the birthday cake on various social media accounts. Kylie Jenner made it seem like it was not a big deal.
Recently, The Daily Beast wrote a critique of the situation, and blamed the evolving issue of racism in America on “your white friends.” Author Stereo Williams said people of color who have white friends who don’t acknowledge your race in a new modern, color-blind society are giving the very issue they wish to pretend donesn’t exisit, because it’s so horrible, are making the situation worse. He says, “This is just a case of deep cultural denial and young people shouldn’t allow themselves to be lulled into that kind of denial.” He argues Americans chose to emerge from the 1950s Civil Rights movement with the assertion that racism no longer exists. But, as he points out, the overwhelming black and Latino prison population, skewed drug-laws and other issues, offer strong evidence that racism is still alive.
Without diving head first into the issue, we should all agree that racism still exists in America, and that the n-word has deep roots in the country. The N-word has been used as a derogatory term against blacks for over 200 years.
Eazy-E death conspiracy. Was the N.W.A. rapper actually infected with HIV?
It is one of the biggest unsolved mysteries. N.W.A. founding partner Eazy-E died forAids, but his death came out of nowhere, in fact, none of his relatives are HIV-positive.
Straight Outta Compton was one of the biggest movies of the summer, making headlines and prompting rumors of nationwide riots throughout the country. First, the hip-hop autobiography stirred controversy over Dr. Dre’s history of abusing women. Now, the movie’s impact has shined light on the conspiracy theories over the founding partner Eazy-E’s tragic death in 1995. Anyone that follows hip-hop knows that the Compton rapper allegedly died to AIDS-related complications just one month after he was diagnosed with the disease. Straight Outta Compton offers an emotional rendering of what occurred to Eazy-E. But after the movie was released, controversy and rumors hit the Internet like wild fire and that Eazy-E’s death was actually foul play.
Like all good conspiracies, this theory comes from various problematic inconsistencies that cannot be easily explained away. In a 2015 interview with VLADTV, the Eazy-E signed hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony pointed out the various problems and questions that existed after Eazy-E’s death. For instance, none of Eazy-E’s sexual partners or children has tested positive for HIV. Rapper Wish Bone argued that the death was “real sudden”. Krayzie Bone added, “I know people can live with HIV for years and look normal and look healthy, but when you’re about to die from AIDS, full-blown AIDS, you’re gonna look like you’re gonna die from AIDS.” The rappers alluded that Eazy-E’s final days came on too soon to fit a natural timeline of death for a person infected with HIV. Instead, Eazy-E suffered a deadly injection, which ultimately killed him.
Most conspiracy theories are pretty far-fetched, but this theory is not that crazy. In a recently discovered Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Suge Knight casually discussed the possibility of taking someone down with a contaminated blood injection: “If you shoot somebody you go to jail forever … So they got this new thing out … they get blood from somebody with AIDs and then they shoot you with it. So that’s a slow death, an Eazy-E thing, ya know what I’m saying?” It is far from a confession from a man that loves controversy, but Eazy-E’s daughter E.B. Wright argues the relationship between Eazy-E and Suge Knight was a lot worse than what Straight Outta Compton depicted. For instance, while the movie features a scene where Suge Knight beats up Eazy-E, Wright says that “he actually pulled a gun on him.” Eazy-E’s son Yung Eazy took it a step further, arguing Suge Knight had something to do with Suge Knight’s death in an Instagram post, and sharing the clip of Suge Knight’s Jimmy Kimmel “If I Did It” moment.
In 2011, former Eazy-E gangsta rap rap protégé B.G. Knocc Out released a single “N My Prime,” rapping that “The way my big homie went out, he didn’t deserve it / Try to say he died of AIDS, but Eazy was cold murdered.” In an interview, the rapper elaborated, “I believe in my heart somebody did something to Eric. Whether it was Jerry [Heller, Eazy’s partner at Ruthless Records], whether it was [his widow] Tomica [Woods-Wright], I have yet to really know the truth about it …My little brother, his father died from full-blown AIDS … from sharing a needle [‘cause] he was [an addict]. Now, I seen this man go through these stages, from HIV to full-blown AIDS. And, when you get a cold, any little thing like that, your whole immune system shut down…Now, to be around Eric for the last three years of his life and he never had an episode like this — never ever — something is strange.”
Former N.W.A manager Jerry Heller voiced his own frustrations with the Suge Knight lethal injection conspiracy, bemoaning, “I can’t believe that the F.B.I. or somebody—I mean that show is all over YouTube. He said ‘Ya kill ‘em. You inject ‘em. Eazy-E style.’ I mean, come on. Do they not care when an African American kills another African American? Do they not care? I don’t know, man. I mean, why haven’t they solved Biggie’s murder? Why haven’t they solved Tupac’s murder? If Eazy was murdered, if he was injected, why haven’t they solved it?”
One the one hand, this conspiracy sounds like a way to drum up more publicity for Eazy-E and his rap career, but on the other hand it suggests that people can easily become murder victims via HIV/AIDS injections.
Suge Knight would joke about how he could have killed Eazy-E. according to The Boom Box, a person would “get a vial of blood from someone with the AIDS virus and inject a person in good health,” leading to that person’s death. However, 2010 report in the British Medical Journal offers further insight, claiming that, “Although no clear evidence exists to support a link between acupuncture and HIV infection, there are reports of patients with HIV who had no risk factors other than acupuncture.”
We may never know what truly caused Eazy-E’s death whether it was acupuncture, or tainted blood vials. But, Straight Outta Compton has inspired rappers, families, and fans alike to share their theories on one of the world’s biggest and influential rappers and his unfortunate untimely death.
Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s new series Vinyl is looking for extras for a rock concert scene in New York City.
Casting directors are looking for men and women between the ages of 18 to 30 to play rock concert attendees for the upcoming Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger HBO series Vinyl. According to Variety, the show will be depicted through the eyes of Cannavale’s Richie Finestra, a record exec trying to build a record label and find the next new sound.
Olivia Wilde is set to play Devon Finestra, Richie’s wife and former actress/model who attempts to deal with the Richie’s crisis as it causes strain on their family and relationship.
Martin Scorsese is set to direct the pilot, which is written by Terence Winter of “The Wolf of Wall Street” and George Mastras from “Breaking Bad” with Mastras working as the show runner.

Roots mini-series casting call for real musicians in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Casting directors for the new ROOTS reboot are looking for African American musicians in the New Orleans area. Producers are looking for musicians that are 18 years and older to mimick/pay music. Fist Fight starring Tracey Morgan is now casting stand-ins in Atlanta, Georgia.
Fist Fight stars Charlie Day, Ice Cube and Tracey Morgan. Charlie Day plays a mild-mannered English teacher who is put to the test when a colleague (Ice Cube) who thinks he is trying to get him fired challenges him to a fist fight after school. According to Deadline, Richie Keen will direct ‘Fist Fight’. Richie Keen has directed short films and such TV series as Showtime’sShameless and FX’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadephia, which stars Day. Sam Brown and Dave Neustadter are the New Line execs on the project.

TNT’s new TV series Good Behavior is now casting extras for a wedding scene filming in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The upcoming feature film, The Legacy of A Whitetail Deer Hunter written by Danny McBride and Jody Hill and starring Danny McBride and Josh Brolin is now hiring crew members to work on the new feature film.
Keep in mind, this is for crew members only. Not for actors.
Filming takes place in Asheville, North Carolina. Production will start in October and will run through December. According to Wilmywoodnc, filming may have been pushed back for several weeks.
Josh Brolin and Danny McBride are set to star in The Legacy Of A Whitetail Deer Hunter, a movie project from Scott Rudin Productions and Rough House. While the plot is under wraps and details are few on the deal, but Jody Hill is directing a script he co-wrote with McBride and John Carcieri. Shooting is set for the fall.

Denzel Washington is one of the most iconic actors of all time. His Academy Award winning performance in Training Day has sparked millions of monologue imitations and helped solidify his career in Hollywood.
Denzel Washington took the stage on September 17 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing arts to share personal stories from his career and his new 10 year deal with HBO. He discussed how proud he is to see his son on HBO’s Ballers, who he thinks is the best actress in Hollywood, and Matt Damon’s comments on diversity.
Denzel Washington also revealed the true ending of Training Day. In the original ending of Training Day Denzel Washington’s character was supposed to live so there could be a sequel. However, Denzel Washington wouldn’t allow it. “In the original script he did, but I was not having it,” said Washington.
It is interesting to point out that, Denzel Washington was not allowed to watch movies as a kid.
“My father was a minister in the Church of God and Christ,” said Washington. “My mother was a singer in church, so we weren’t allowed to watch movies.”
The actor was only allowed to watch certain Christian films. “King of Kings, Ten Commandmentsand that’s about it,” Washington added. “I never went to the movies as a child, ever.“
But, his earliest inspirations were James Earl Jones, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
“Once I got into theater at Fordham University, I saw James Earl Jones do Oedipus the King at St. John the Divine Cathedral. I went backstage and he didn’t know me. I guess he sensed I was this young curious actor, and he let me hang out in the dressing room. I said, ‘I want to be him.’ I didn’t have that power or size that he had.”
“I wanted to get into [acting] like anybody’s last name that ends with an O: De Niro, Pacino.”
Denzel Washington also shared his preference of appearing on stage versus on film.
“I started on the stage. I prefer the stage. I’d never thought that what has happened would happen,” said Washington, who explained that he took a break from acting onstage after his kids were born. “Get on the stage,” he stressed. “You learn how to act onstage. Not in film, not in TV.”
Adam Sandler’s voice acting as Count Dracula was a major reason for the $47.5 million opening of Sony Animation’s new movie Hotel Transylvania 2. The animated sequel is the comedic actor’s best debut ever.
The major box office win comes after several live-action box office disasters and proves that people hate seeing Adam Sandler but, enjoy hearing him.
The actor-producer’s recent disappointing live-action movies include Pixels, Blended, Jack and Jill and That’s My Boy all of which had a disappointing average opening of $23.4 million. While those numbers are not horrible but, it does show an end of an era for Adam Sandler. Recently, his latest Netflix movie, The Ridiculous 6 stirred a ton of controversy.

During production of The Ridiculous 6 several Native Americans actors complained about the movie for being extremely racist and many people quit working on the movie, which caused a ton of bad publicity for the once legendary comedic actor.
Long gone are the days of Adam Sandler’s 90’s hit movies such as Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy and The Wedding Singer grossed more than $4 billion globally. But, at the end of the day, Adam Sandler’s highest grossing movie ever was Hotel Translyvania which made $358 million worldwide in 2012.
“Plugging Sandler into the irresistibly fun and animated world of Count Dracula and his friends is as much of a box office lock as you could hope for and proves that the concept of ‘Hotel Transylvania’ is like catnip to family audiences,” Rentrak senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian told TheWrap. “Moviegoers now appreciate Sandler’s comedic voice talents aside and separate from his live-action persona,” Dergarabedian said.
Hotel Transylvania 2 co-stars Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, and Steve Buscemi. The sequel was directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and co-written by Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel.
Matt Damon reveals that ‘You’re a better actor the less people know about you’
Matt Damon is one of a select few of actors that still command an audience and draw millions of people to their local movie theaters just to see him act. But, in a recent interview, the A-list actor revealed some of the wildest acting advice probably ever stated by a professional actor.

In an interview with the Guardian, Matt Damon revealed what it is like working in Hollywood.
He thinks attitudes are changing, and welcomes the introduction of same-sex marriage in California in 2008. “I think it must be really hard for actors to be out publicly,” he continues. “But in terms of actors, I think you’re a better actor the less people know about you period. And sexuality is a huge part of that. Whether you’re straight or gay, people shouldn’t know anything about your sexuality because that’s one of the mysteries that you should be able to play.”
That’s a pretty good point and he must be right. As Forbes Magazine points out, Matt Damon is Hollywood’s most bankable actor, averaging $29 in takings for every dollar he earned in a movie.
Matt Damon’s latest production The Martian which is directed by the highly controversial Ridley Scott and co-starring Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kristen Wiig, Matt Damon plays Mark Watney, a Nasa astronaut who finds himself stranded on Mars after he is injured in a fierce storm and presumed dead by his crew.
