George Clooney’s new movie Money Monster is now hiring photo doubles for a principal actor for reshoots filming in New York City. Filming will take place on Sunday, January 24th and producers are looking for Caucasian Bald male actors between the ages of 35 to 50. Talents should also be between 5’9 to 5’11 and a size 40R suit.
Money Monstercenters around Lee Gates, a TV personality whose insider tips have made him the money guru of Wall Street. When Kyle loses all of his family’s money on a bad tip, he holds Lee and his entire show hostage on air threatening to kill Lee if he does not get the stock up 24 and a half points before the bell. Ratings soar as the entire country tunes in to this media frenzy to find out just how much a man’s life is worth. Meanwhile, the hostage situation sheds light on a possible scandal involving the company in question. With elements of Dog Day Afternoon and Network, Money Monster is a very timely piece in these economic times.
Money Monster features George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Jack O’Connell. According to reports, Money Monster will be directed by Jodi Foster.

The Academy’s black president is “disappointed” with the all white Oscar nominees.
Even the president of the Academy Awards is upset with the list of Oscar nominations.
Of all the minority actors appeared in movies in 2015, none were nominated for an Academy Award. That means, Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Coogler and not even Will Smith were nominated for the achievements for filmmaking. And even the technical categories don’t feature anyone with color. However, the nominations process shouldn’t be a surprise anymore.
However, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the Academy’s first black president, feels the organization should ease up on being extremely exclusive.
Featureflash / Shutterstock.com
“Of course I am disappointed, but this is not to take away the greatness [of the films nominated],” Isaacs told Deadline today. “This has been a great year in film, it really has across the board. You are never going to know what is going to appear on the sheet of paper until you see it.”
That said, she adds, “We have got to speed it up.”
This is a major change from last January, following the #OscarsSoWhite backlash, when Isaacs denied that the Academy had a “diversity problem” she also said the Academy had “made greater strides than we ever have in the past toward becoming a more diverse and inclusive organization.”
Every year, there is discussion of whether actors of color deserve nominations or not and whether they should even care about getting rewarded from what many call a racist institution. It will be interesting to see how Chris Rock, this year’s host of the Oscars, responds to the lack of non-white people in The Academy Awards.

Medina played the Red Wild Force Ranger in the Fox Kids/ABC Kids TV series in 2002 and again in 2012. The incident allegedly stated with a fight between Medina and his roommate Josh Sutter.
But, it’s official. Actor Ricardo Medina has been charged with murder for allegedly killing his ex-roommate with a sword last year. He’s currently in jail waiting for a bail hearing.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s department took Medina into custody on Thursday. The District Attorney is requesting a a $1 million bail for the actor as he awaits an arraignment on January 19 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Even though he was taken in for the murder back a year ago, Medina was let go after a court hearing because the case was rejected. At the time, the District Attorney’s office said the incident was still being investigated and would consider charges in the future, according to Deadline.
According to TMZ, Medina ran into his room with his girlfriend but, Sutter forced his way into the bedroom and that’s when Medina allegedly stabbed him once in the stomach with the sword.
When released from custody last February, Medina said, “I’m very, very, very sorry for what occurred. I’m very happy to be out of jail, and my heart goes out to the Sutter family.”
It is interesting to point out that this is not the first Power Rangers arrest. Walter Jones, who played the Black Ranger in the 1990s was arrested for a DUI seven years ago. In 2009, Skylar Deleon, another actor from the Power Rangers series was sentenced to death for murdering a couple on a yacht. All of this begs the question: Are the Power Rangers haunted?

Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, actor John Karsinski, Ang Lee and Guillermo del Toro announced the 8th Academy Award nominations on Thursday. And The Academy’s judges have chosen an all white cast for this year’s Oscars for both best actors/actress and supporting actor/actress for the second year in a row.
Featureflash / Shutterstock.com
Fans responded to the Oscar nominations by going on Twitter and voicing their frustration using the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite:
Err Creed, Beasts of no nation & Compton came out last year- yet no black nominees? Hollywood & it’s #OscarsSoWhite sequel
But, this should not come as a surprise as Oscar judges feared that another backlash was eminent.
Weeks before the list of Oscar nominations were revealed Hollywood executives were casting their ballots to whom they believe should be nominated for an Academy Award. That’s when a scathing report surfaced showing that some judges feared that Oscars are just another form of institutionalized racism.
According to the Los Angeles Times, “the biggest issue for many voters isn’t about who might be nominated but about the diversity of this year’s acting class.” The nominees’ overwhelming lack of diversity “came to define the Academy Awards so much that host Neil Patrick Harris opened the ceremony by quipping: ‘Tonight we honor Hollywood’s best and whitest. Sorry, brightest.’”
In fact, USC history professor Steve Ross tells the Los Angeles Times, “If it’s all-white again, nobody’s going to be happy and there might be a growing perception that the academy is out of touch.” In addition, another Oscar voter said, “I don’t see how you can nominate another group that doesn’t include any actor of color and think you’ll be taken seriously.”
At the end of the day this should be a surprise. The actor, who was snubbed for playing Martin Luther King, Jr in Selma said that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the entire film industry, don’t enjoy making or celebrating movies about black protagonists unless the movies are told through the eyes of white people. Oyelowo says: “So you have a very nice white person who holds black people’s hands through their own narrative.”
Here is the full list of Oscar Nominations for The Academy Awards 2016.
The Revenantand Mad Max: Fury Roadwere among the movies praised and honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, picking up Oscar nominations for best picture and best director.
However, it is important to point out that box office hit movie Straight Outta Comptonwas not featured and was cut by award judges.
The Revenant, a story about revenge directed by Alejandro G. Iñarritu, which is set in the 1800s, garnered 12 nominations in total that is the most of any film.
Leonardo DiCaprio was honored for his lead acting and Tom Hardy for his supporting role. The movie was also nominated for its cinematography, sound editing and sound mixing.
The best directing category will be led by Alejandro G. Iñarritu and Geroge Miller, the director of Mad Max: Fury Road, with Tom McCarthy for Spotlight, Adam McKay for The Big Short and Lenny Abrahmason for Room. One of the biggest surprises was Ridley Scott, the director of The Martian.
It is important to point out that Oscar voters put together an “all-white field” of acting nominees. Which is expected to hurt ratings once again. In fact, the audience for last year’s ceremony dropped 15 percent, to around 36.6 million viewers, from 43 million in 2014, which caused new producers to hire Chris Rock to host.
ABC will broadcast the Oscars on February 28.

While the entire world is still reeling over Star Wars: The Force Awakens, behind the scenes Disney is ramping up production on the next Star Wars movie.
John Boyega, who plays the stormtrooper turned traitor Finn, spoke with British Vogue about Star Wars: Episode VII. When asked about the script, Boyega said it was” great” and “much darker” than Episode VII. He also said the next installment will be more physically exhausting for Finn.

“My part in the next film will be much more physical, so I might be in the gym a bit more,” Boyega said in the interview.
Boyega is not the only actor who has spoken highly of Rian Johnson’s latest script. Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, told Variety that she thinks the next movie’s script is “very good”.
Star Wars: Episode VIII doesn’t hit theaters until May 26, 2017, but fans are already excited about the next movie in the Star Wars universe. Luckily for them, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16, 2016.

Michael Galeota, who starred in Disney Channel’s The Jersey in the late 90s has died on Sunday, he was only 31.
“It is with tremendous heartfelt sadness to announce the passing of Michael James Galeota on January 10th,” reads a statement on a Go Fund Me page to raise money for his burial, created by Galeota’s family.
“He was a precious gift – loving, giving, compassionate, joyful and intelligent,” the post continues. “A great inspiration for anyone that heard his genuine, humble, witty and joyful voice, or experienced his smile, laughter and love for just a moment. To know him was to love him.”
Michael Galeota’s GoFundMe page has raised $20,000 and is $5,000 short from reaching their goal.
The actor went to the hospital last week after complaining of abdominal pains and left Wednesday, according to TMZ, which broke the news. After not hearing from him later in the week, one of the friends checked on him on Sunday at his Los Angeles home and he was found lying on the living room floor.
Apparently, Galeota suffered from hypertension, high cholesterol and diverticulitis and is said to have died from “natural causes”.
Outside of starring in The Jersey, Galeota had several roles as a kid including the 1995 movie Bushwacked, Clubhouse Detectives and appearing in several TV shows such as E.R and Ally McBeal. However, the actor’s career would come to a screeching halt in the 2000s and The Jersey would be his final role.

Quentin Tarantino is probably not having a good week right now as The Hateful Eight is Quentin Tarantino’s worst Box Office movie in 20 years.
According to Box Office Mojo, the Tarantino style western has reported The Hateful Eight’s box office numbers and they don’t look good. Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie fell short of expectations last weekend and now, in its second weekend in wide release, earnings have dropped nearly 60%. To make matters even worse, the movie expanded to an additional 464 theaters. With an estimated $6.3 million this weekend the movie is up to $41.4 million domestically and is looking to cap at $50 million.
If The Hateful Eight does cap at $50 million, it will be Tarantino’s worst box office performance since 1997 and the release of Jackie Brown.
The Hateful Eight reportedly cost $50 million to produce and another $35 million to promote. According to reports, in order for the movie to break even, The Hateful Eight will have to earn at least $85 million. And judging from the results of the Golden Globes, I highly suspect that this will not happen.
Critics loved the movie. The Hateful Eight received generally positive reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 74%, based on 191 reviews, with an average rating of 7.3/10. The site’s critical consensus reads, “The Hateful Eight offers another well-aimed round from Quentin Tarantino’s signature blend of action, humor, and over-the-top violence – all while demonstrating an even stronger grip on his filmmaking craft.”
In fact, The A.V. Club’s Ignatiy Vishnevetsky praised the film, remarking that “with a script that could easily be a stage play, The Hateful Eight is about as close as this pastiche artist is likely to get to the classical tradition….[It] is an exercise in the art of the protracted scene, which has been part of his personal signature sinceReservoir Dogs.”
But this begs the question: why did The Hateful Eight do so poorly in the box office? Was the police union strike? Was it the fact that he says the N-word a lot in his movies? Or was it because the months before production ever started?
The idea of watching Jesse Pinkman for an episode or two may actually come true if Aaron Paul has anything to say about it.
Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul shared some insider details with Variety on whether or not we will see his character, Jesse Pinkman, on Better Call Saul. If fans are willing to be patient, it sounds like we maybe able to see him once again. “Hopefully I will be involved,” he said. “But I don’t know when that may be. I’m not going to say anything more. But I’m absolutely open to the idea. Hopefully it happens. I’m all about it.”
“But I don’t know when that may be. I’m not going to say anything more. But I’m absolutely open to the idea. Hopefully it happens. I’m all about it.”
Aaron Paul is currently promoting his new Hulu drama The Path at the Television Critics Association press tour. The actor shared details that he’s been in talks with series co-creator Vince Gilligan for a long time about a possible cameo appearance dating back well before the show even started shooting. Aaron Paul says fans will not be disappointed because he will only reappear if his character is handled properly. “If I were to be involved, I can promise that it would be done in the most beautiful way,” he said, “because there’s no way they’re going to bring Jesse Pinkman back just to bring him back. They’re going to bring him back and the audience is going to be very excited not just to see him, but to see how it all unfolded.”
“If I were to be involved, I can promise that it would be done in the most beautiful way,”
Casting directors recently finished filming Season 2 of Better Call Saul in Albuquerque, New Mexico. White Turtle Casting was looking for a ton of background actors, stand-ins and cars to work on the production. Expect production for season 3 of Better Call Saul to start this August 2016.
