Love to cut hair? Netflix is New York City barbers for the new series The Get Down.

are for City barbers to work on the upcoming Baz Luhrmann Series “The Get Down” filming on Friday, January 15th in New York City. Producers are looking for guys ages 45 to 65 with no braids, dreads, or extensions to work on the scene.


 

About Netflix’s The Get Down:

The Get Down centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According toVariety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

Seeking NONUNION & African American Men 45-65 to portray 1970s Barbers for the Baz Luhrmann Netflix Series “The Get Down”. Fitting THURSDAY 1/14, Works FRIDAY 1/15.

SIZES:
Around 40-42 chest, 32-34 waist.

***MUST have longer, natural hair. No braids, no dreads, no extensions, no wigs, no shaved heads***

If interested and available, please email to [email protected] and change subject line to read, “Name, NONUNION, Phone #, Barber Type, Avail all dates”.
Please include in the body of your email two photos: 1) shoulders up that clearly depict your current look, and 2)a full body photo that clearly depict your physique.

Please also include the following:
-Your current hair length
-Your sizes: Men- height, weight, neck x sleeve, waist x inseam, jacket, shoe. Women- height, weight, bust x waist x hip, dress, shoe.
-Avail for all dates (must have full day/night availability for all filming dates)
