Disney is reportedly now casting a young Luke Skywalker for the upcoming Obi-Wan Disney+ series.
We may soon see a young Luke Skywalker in the upcoming ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ series. The Disney+ ‘Star Wars’ spin-off is reportedly casting a child version of the classic hero of the original trilogy, as well as featuring an actor from ‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.’
Before the release and success of ‘The Mandalorian,’ Disney announced the series, which will feature Ewan McGregor reprise his role form the prequels as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series will center around his adventures in the time between the great Jedi Purge in ‘Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and his heroic sacrifice to save the Rebel Alliance in ‘Star Wars: A New Hope.’ During this period, the former mentor of Anakin Skywalker lived in exile in the world of Tatooine, watching over the young Luke Skywalker grow up to become the man who would one day save the galaxy from the Empire.
According to reports, Luke Skywalker will appear as a child in the show, which lines up with the timeline of the show. Moreover, Joel Edgerton will reprise his role as Owen Lars, Anakin’s maternal stepbrother, who raised Luke following the death of his mother, Padme Amidala.
Initially, the Obi-Wan series planned to be a movie, but following the box-office let down ‘Solo: A Star Wars’ was, Disney turned the film into a series for Disney’s streaming service. The show will be directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed three episodes of ‘The Mandalorian,’ as well as Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive Jessica Jones and the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul.
Currently, there are no open casting calls or even details of what the young Luke will look like in the series. But, the series will most likely explore Obi-Wan’s distant relationship with young Luke Skywalker.

In the ‘Joker‘ movie alternative ending, Batman was supposed to die.
Filmmaker Kevin Smith revealed during his show ‘Fatman Beyond’ the alternative ending to Todd Phillips’ R-rated blockbuster ‘Joker’ was written differently.
While the final release of the movie ended with Joaquin Phoenix’s character Arthur Fleck locked up in a psychiatric hospital with a scene suggesting he killed his new therapist. Smith says in the video that a source close to the project revealed an alternate ending featuring a flashback at the hospital. The flashback would have taken the audience back to Thomas and Martha Wayne’s murder scene in the alley and reveal he was the Joker who killed them. What is more shocking is the next scene. Kevin Smith explains that Joker then also shoots Bruce Wayne, effectively killing Batman.
“Originally, the ending in the hospital was different,” Smith said. “He’s in the hospital, and he laughs chuckles, and he says, ‘I was just thinking of something funny.’ What was supposed to happen was you flashed back to the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne, and it was him killing Thomas and Martha Wayne, and the boy was screaming and crying, and he turned to walk away, and he turned back, shrugged, and shot the kid. Are you looking for a monologue? The full screenplay was written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver for ‘Joker’ has been released to the public. Within the screenplay, there are amazing scenes that are amazing for screenwriters to learn from and actors to find a monologue.
There are also two scenes that never made it to the final cut of the movie. The two scenes address the fate of Sophie Dumond, Arthur Fleck’s neighbor, and love interest, who is played by Zazie Beetz.
In the movie, Sophie made her final appearance when Arthur broke into her apartment after she had put her daughter to sleep. It then cut Arthur leaving the apartment, never explaining what happened in the apartment. The screenplay now confirms Sophie did in fact lived, as Arthur did not kill her or her daughter. In one of the scenes on page 78 of the screenplay, Arthur leaves a note on her doorstep telling her to watch Murray Franklin’s show and on page 96, a deleted scene shows a horrified Sophie as she witnesses Arthur killing Murray on television.
When asked why he cut the scene, Phillips explained Sophie’s reaction would be contrary to the movie’s theme of only showing what was going on in Arthur’s head and his own perspective.
Another great scene for a monologue takes place when Arthur meets with his social worker.

‘Making the Band’ is an ABC/MTV reality series that created musical acts O-Town, Da Band, Danity Kane, Day26, and Donnie Klang. The first series featured O-Town, all seasons of ‘Making the Band’ have been overseen by Diddy, acting as the leader of the house who makes the final decision on who will be in the band. On July 15, 2019, it was announced that the series was revived and will premiere in 2020
Now, MTV is partnering with Diddy to bring back ‘Making The Band’. According to the casting call, MTV’s ‘Making The Band’ is returning in 2020.

Making the Band was an MTV cultural phenomenon that changed the face of reality television by bringing together diverse talent on a global scale, while being mentored by legendary artist and mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Making The Band is back and ready to usher in a new era of young, successful stars. Diddy is searching for multi-talented performers who can sing, dance and rap. If you think you’ve got what it takes to impress the hardest working man in show business, submit your best material now!

Judges and Open Casting Calls:
The business/music mogul has picked his three sons, who are called the “Combs Cartel” to judge the revived show airing in 2020. MTV’s promo video on Wednesday revealed Christian Combs, 22, Quincy Brown, 28, and Justin Combs, 26, as they announced a four-city casting call and explained what they’re looking for in the next musical star.
“You know we had to be involved in the return of Making the Band,” Christian Combs said in the video. “It’s only right. So stay tuned, it’s a movement.”
“We not settling for just anybody,” Brown added in the clip. “If you feel like you got what it takes to compete in today’s industry — y’all know how our pops does it. So expect nothing but the best to be showing up.”
“Making The Band is back. We back, we back, we back,” Diddy said, as he joined his sons at the end of the video.
Choreographer and So You Think You Can Dance judge Laurieann Gibson, who was associated with the original Making The Band, is also set to participate as a judge.
Open Casting Call Dates & Locations:
The castings will take place in Atlanta from Feb. 28-29, Houston from March 7-8, Charlotte, N.C., from March 13-14, and New York City from March 21-22. Hopefuls can also submit auditions online.

According to a statement by the company’s content chief Ted Sarandos, the movie is expected to reach 40 million accounts by the 28th day. The film has won five Golden Globe nominations since debuting at the New York Film Festival, and Netflix is hoping that it will also make the Oscars.
