History’s “Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman” is now casting and hiring actors in Mississippi.
History is now casting and filming for the new TV series Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman is now casting and filming in Natchez, Mississippi. The nonfiction series looks back at the greatest jailbreaks in history from some of the biggest and notorious prisons in the world.
The six-episode, one-hour series will be hosted and executive produced by the Oscar-winning Freeman, who will produce with Revelations Entertainment partner Lori McCreary.
Each episode will center around dramatic re-creations and cutting-edge, visual effects focusing on every step of the prisoner’s plan, their escape route and the intense manhunt.
“I’ve been inside the minds of prisoners in my acting career, and I’m looking forward to stepping inside the most notorious prisons in the world, like Alcatraz, Sing Sing, Rikers Island and Leavenworth. Audiences will feel like they’re making the escapes themselves as I walk them into a virtual world and through the greatest escapes in history,” said Freeman, who was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for the prison drama The Shawshank Redemption, in which he played a wise, patient and optimistic inmate.
“The History channel is honored to partner with Morgan and his production team, Revelations Entertainment, to deliver context and backstory to some of history’s infamous prison escapes,” said Eli Lehrer, EVP and General Manager for History. “Morgan’s gravitas will help ground this series and drive the drama in a way no other face or voice can.”

Wu-Tang: An American Saga is a HULU drama series, created by RZA and Alex Tse, which premiered on September 4, 2019, on Hulu. The show depicts a fictionalized account of the development of the Wu-Tang Clan. In January 2020, Hulu renewed the series for a second season.
What is Wu-Tang: An American Saga about?
Wu-Tang: An American Saga is set in New York City during the height of the crack cocaine epidemic in the early 1990s. It centers around the Wu-Tang Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, and rise among the risks and money that came with the epidemic. Seeking his own way out, Diggs focuses on rap to create a way to fame going against his older brother Divine, who chose to sell drugs as a way to make money for his family. The story centers around how it call came together as Diggs unites a dozen young black men who are torn between music and crime. The group fights against the powers that hold them down and these include their own occasional impulse to give up the fight.

TV director Damon Thomas (Penny Dreadful, Killing Eve) will make his feature directorial debut after 18 years of directing episodic TV and TV movies. Based on author Grady Hendrix’s horror novel of the same name, the film will be produced by Happy Death Day writer and director Christopher Landon.
The movie is described as Beaches meets Heathers meets The Exorcist and is set in 1988 and follows the relationship of two friends, Abby and Gretchen. After a night of skinny-dipping goes wrong, Gretchen starts to act weird. As baby starts to believe her friend is possessed, both girls must face a serious question – is their friendship strong enough to beat the Devil?
The novel was first published in 2016 by Qurk Books, Hendrix’s horror novel was named one of Paste Magazine’s 50 best horror novels of all time. Hendrix will work as a creative consultant on the movie, with Jenna Lamia writing the screenplay.

Tyler Perry will also write and produce the movie with Michelle Sneed executive producing the project.
The film is reportedly a passion project for Tyler Perry. Perry has been trying to make the movie for over 20 years and it was the first screenplay he ever wrote. Set in 1937 to 1987, the story follows an investigation into an unsolved murder, which reveals forbidden love, lies, and a secret that has been held for over 40 years. The movie will film in Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta and will be released on Netflix this year.

Marty suddenly relocates his family from Chicago to Osage Beach, Missouri. When the Byrdes arrive in Missouri, they get involved with local criminals including the Kansas City Mafia.

If you enjoy your TV series being desaturated, somewhat Jason Bateman, and just a little bit of a polo shirt, you probably binged Ozark Season Four, Part One. The new episodes of Netflix’s Midwestern crime-and-drugs drama debuted in January as part of the show’s final season. There are only eight episodes in the new season; Ozark Season Four, Part Two, is just around the corner.
Netflix announced today that the next batch of episodes would be released on August 23. That’s a little more than two months away, so you might want to rewatch the first three seasons (or even just the first four episodes of Season Four) to refresh your memory.
In the new season, Marty and Wendy Byrde (Bateman and Laura Linney) attempt to rebuild their lives in Florida after being forced out of Missouri by the Mexican drug cartel. But as always, trouble finds them, and they quickly find themselves in over their heads. There’s no word yet on whether the final season will be the show’s last, but we’re guessing it won’t end with a happily-ever-after.
August 23 can’t come soon enough. In the meantime, here’s everything you need to know about Ozark Season Four, Part Two,including its release date, plot details, relevant tidbits from interviews with the stars and creators, and more.
When is Ozark coming back for Season Four, Part Two?
On April 29, 2019, Netflix will end its Ozark series after eight seasons. The program will bid farewell to the small screen for good on that date. Friends, mark your calendars. Then you may wager on who will survive and who will perish.
What will Ozark Season Four, Part Two cover?
Let’s (briefly, we promise) revisit the somewhat traumatic finale. Agent Miller goes rogue and arrests Omar after the FBI slightly backtracks its agreement with him. Wendy and Marty Byrde persuade an irritated Omar to persuade Javi to take the same deal he took with the FBI, which would see him deported to Mexico. After that, Byrdes’ next stop is Florida to set up shop and launder money for Navarro. Oh, and did we mention that Wendy ran over Darlene with a car? So Season Four, Part Two, will be about the Byrdes starting their new life in Florida and dealing with what happened in Missouri.
Wouldn’t you know it, our beloved mischievous son, Jonah, informs Ruth that Javi is most likely the murderer of her cousin, which sends her storming off—likely in search of Javi. So! Our major quarrel with Ozark’s final episodes is Ruth versus Javi. We’ll see Ruth try to deal with the death of her cousin and come to terms with the fact that Javi might be behind it all. On the other hand, Javi will probably struggle with the guilt of his actions as he tries to keep Navarro’s operation going while also getting over the death of his sister.
As for the Byrdes? We’d tell you that they’ll be in the midst of it all, wheeling and dealing for four seasons. However, we must discuss the vehicle accident, which upsets any prediction. In the opening sequence of the first episode of this season, we see the whole Byrde family happily driving on a highway. It appears to be so until we realize that Wendy is behind the wheel and that Marty is not in the front seat with her. The following sequence of events makes it abundantly clear that something went wrong, as we see a car upside down in a river—with what looks like Wendy’s body hanging lifelessly from the driver’s seat. So, did Wendy die in the car accident? What will happen to her family now that she’s gone? Will Marty be able to keep everything together, or will he break under pressure? All these questions and more will be answered come August 23.
Finally, there’s one more puzzle piece to add to the mix. What about the Navarro cartel? According to Deadline, Javi’s mother appears to be the latest addition to the cast, which reported that she would join in 2021. Here is how The Hollywood Reporter described her character:
Falcón will play Camila, the sister of drug cartel leader Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) whose son “Javi Elizonndro” (Alfonso Herrera) is scheming to take over his uncle’s cartel. Camila quietly works behind the scenes to become a formidable player in her family’s drug empire.”
Camila has two options: she can be fiercely committed to her son, eventually discovering (and foiling) Omar’s plan, or she may know that Javi isn’t the ideal leader for the cartel and collaborate with him when he returns to Mexico. Hey, what if there’s a third option? Camila has taken Javi’s place on the throne by the end of the credits and is sitting on it. This is Ozark, after all.

Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne are teaming up for a new Netflix movie. The Good Nurse is an upcoming serial killer thriller with Chastain and Redmayne are attached to star in Tobias Lindholm’s directorial debut The Good Nurse. The movie is based on the true story of Charlie Cullen, a nurse regarded as one of the most prolific serial killers in history.
Deadline reports Netflix closed on a $25 million deal to buy the world rights to The Good Nurse, a thriller starring Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne. The movie, which is based on the book by Charles Graeber and written by 1917 screenwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa production company is producing The Good Nurse with Film Nation, which is handling sales with CAA. This is just the latest of many high-profile acquisitions featuring an A-list cast.
What is the plot of The Good Nurse?

The Good Nurse centers around the true story of the pursuit and capture of Charlie Cullen, of the deadliest serial killers in history, who was found to have murdered up to 400 patient during the course of 16-year career as a nurse, earning him the title “The Angel of Death”.
Redmayne will play Cullen, who was caught by two former Newark homicide detectives who would not give up on the case and helped by a nurse who worked alongside Cullen and risked her job and family’s safety to stop him. Chastain will play the nurse who helped end the killing spree.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS AN EXTRA?
– You should ALWAYS expect a full 12+ hour day. Some days are significantly shorter than others..and some are longer. NOBODY from this office will EVER tell you that it will only take a few hours. We may give you an idea of timeframe, if we have it, but things always change.
– You may be asked to do a variety of different things in the scene such as walking, crossing camera, sitting down with a friend, engaging in pretend conversation, doing a specific task or activity. It’s all up to production and they will give you instructions on the day based on the scene.
– Snacks, water, and coffee are always available throughout the day and you will get a hot meal half-way through the day if you’re there for the entire day (full 12 hrs).
-You will fill out paperwork for payment on set. Usually you’ll receive a check in the mail anywhere between 2-4 weeks from your shoot date.

Long Slow Exhale is an upcoming women’s basketball drama TV series created by Pam Veasey, which BET & Spectrum Originals ordered straight to series. From Paramount Television Studios, Veasey will executive produce the series through her form L.A.’s Finest collaborators Anton Cropper and Jon Dove, bringing her back to Spectrum after the Bad Boys spinoff was their first scripted original production. Cropper will also direct the TV series. Also executive producing is Bruna Papandrea and Casey Haver for Made Up Stories.
The show was announced on February 9, 2021, with the cast announcement of Rose. There will be twelve episodes in the series. The series, from Paramount Television Studios, will launch first on Spectrum and then on BET after nine months. It is noted that the show is a widowing strategy “is a way to split the costs of producing high-end scripted fare during a time in which many media companies are focusing less on linear networks.”
The show is in development and production in Atlanta, Georgia with filming starting this March 2021. Josh Lucas was announced on February 19, 2021.
