“Why Not Tech” Produced By Nike Open Casting Call for Lead Speaking Roles

Why Not Tech produced by Nike is now casting lead speaking roles.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on the upcoming feature film Why Not Tech produced by Nike. Details for the production have not been released. However, if selected, these roles are paid acting positions.

Producers are seeking the following roles:

  • Quentin – 16 – 18 years. Black. A nationally ranked 10th grader from Crenshaw, Quentin is destined to go division one and then the NBA. Quentin is challenged by his grandmother to find another purpose and not be defined by just a “Raggedy orange ball” when his season gets canceled due to the pandemic.
  • Jakari – 15 – 17 years. Black. Nerdy. An introverted teenage tech wiz from Crenshaw who is misunderstood and invisible to his community. Basketball has never been X’s thing and it doesn’t help that his father sees getting a scholarship as the only way, to make it out of Crenshaw. X battles to not only get acceptance from his father but from his peers in the community at well.
