Job Description:
We are casting for the short film Marina, seeking a talented young Latino boy, aged 8-12 years old, who is D/deaf or hard of hearing. This is a paid opportunity under the SAG/AFTRA Short Film Agreement. The role involves performing in American Sign Language (ASL), so strong familiarity with ASL is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
Portray a central character in the short film Marina.
Perform most of the character's lines in American Sign Language (ASL).
Collaborate with the director and other cast members to bring the character to life.
Attend rehearsals and filming sessions as required.
Follow directions from the production team to achieve the best performance.
Requirements:
Latino boy aged 8-12 years old.
Must be D/deaf or hard of hearing.
Strong familiarity with ASL is a plus but not required.
Ability to convey emotions and actions effectively through sign language and expressions.
Previous acting experience is preferred but not required.
Comfortable working on a film set and taking direction.
