Job Description
A passionate production team is seeking an experienced gaffer to join an upcoming independent short film, designed for submission to top-tier festivals including Sundance. This project requires a lighting expert with a strong understanding of narrative storytelling and the technical know-how to enhance cinematic visuals. The film will shoot across multiple seasons and span approximately 10–12 days total, with each segment lasting several days.
Job Responsibilities

Lead all lighting design and setup for each shoot day

Collaborate closely with the director and cinematographer to achieve the visual tone

Maintain safety and professionalism on set

Ensure lighting continuity and flexibility across different seasonal scenes
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in gaffing for narrative film
