A volunteer opportunity is available for a Costumer to join the crew of The Exor-Fist, a supernatural action-horror short film and proof of concept for a future feature project. The production team is seeking a creative individual who can help develop the visual identity of the film’s characters, including clergy attire, possessed characters, and demonic-inspired wardrobe pieces.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring costume designers, wardrobe stylists, or film professionals looking to gain experience in an independent horror production environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate costumes for principal characters.
  • Help establish the visual style and wardrobe aesthetic of the film.
  • Source, organize, and manage costume pieces for production.
  • Collaborate with the director and creative team to support character development.
  • Assist with costume continuity and wardrobe needs during filming.
  • Contribute creative ideas that enhance the supernatural horror atmosphere of the project.

Requirements

  • Interest or experience in costume design, wardrobe styling, fashion, theater, or film production.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an independent film environment.
  • Creative eye for character-driven costume design.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with horror, fantasy, or period-inspired wardrobe design is a plus.
  • Must provide information about relevant experience or previous work when applying.

Costume Designer – Vertical Microdrama Project

Job Description
A production team is seeking a skilled Costume Designer for an upcoming vertical microdrama project based in British Columbia. The Costume Designer will be responsible for developing wardrobe concepts that enhance the visual storytelling and support the tone and personality of each character throughout the production.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Costume Designer in film, television, or digital media.

  • Strong understanding of character-driven costume design and how wardrobe supports narrative development.

  • Ability to source, fit, and maintain costumes that align with the production’s creative direction and continuity needs.

  • Proficiency in managing budgets, wardrobe logistics, and on-set wardrobe assistance.

  • Knowledge of fabrics, tailoring, color theory, and styling for various time periods or genres.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with directors, production designers, and cast.

  • Must be based in British Columbia or able to work locally.

Compensation

  • Paid position: $2,000–$3,000 (based on experience and scope).

  • Includes wardrobe budget and credit in final production.
