Serving as an important support resource for the crew, the Runner will handle a mix of on-site and local assignments, including delivering materials, completing production errands, assisting with personnel logistics, and responding to immediate crew needs. This opportunity is suited for someone who is resourceful, communicates consistently, and can manage changing priorities while working behind the scenes of a live sports broadcast. A possible setup day may take place before game day.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete local production runs, pickups, and deliveries as assigned.
• Transport supplies, documents, and other materials between production locations.
• Assist with logistical needs involving announcers and broadcast crew members.
• Support production departments with operational tasks throughout the event.
• Communicate assignment updates and completed tasks to production supervisors.
• Respond efficiently when urgent or unexpected production needs arise.
• Help maintain an organized workflow during pre-production and the live broadcast.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous Runner, Production Assistant, live event, or sports broadcasting experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and familiarity with Tempe and the surrounding area are preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Professional, proactive, and comfortable collaborating with a busy production crew.
• Ability to adapt quickly as production schedules and priorities change.
• Basic understanding of live broadcast operations is beneficial.
