Job Description
A production team is seeking a Director of Photography (DOP) to join the crew of an upcoming Nightwing-inspired short film. The selected cinematographer will help bring the film’s visual style to life by working closely with the director and production team to capture dynamic, cinematic footage. The team is particularly interested in professionals who have their own equipment kit and experience shooting narrative or action-driven projects.
Job Responsibilities

Serve as Director of Photography for a short film production.

Collaborate with the director and creative team to establish the visual style and tone of the film.

Plan and execute lighting setups and camera movements for cinematic storytelling.

Operate or oversee camera operations during production.

Manage camera equipment and ensure footage meets production quality standards.
Requirements

Experience working as a Director of Photography or cinematographer on film projects.

Preference for candidates who own or have access to their own camera and lighting kit.

Strong understanding of cinematic lighting, camera composition, and visual storytelling.

Ability to collaborate effectively with a creative production team.

Must be based in or able to work in Melbourne.
