A production team based in Jacksonville, Florida is currently seeking a director for upcoming narrative feature film and short-form comedy projects. The primary focus includes two planned feature-length films scheduled for summer production, beginning with a romantic comedy expected to shoot across multiple locations.
In preparation for the feature productions, the team is also producing a series of short-form comedy projects designed to establish workflow, strengthen creative collaboration, and build production chemistry within the team.
Job Responsibilities

- Collaborate with producers, cast, and crew members throughout development and production
- Lead rehearsals and on-set creative execution
- Help establish workflow and creative direction for future productions

Requirements

Job Description:
A funded commercial R&D project is seeking an experienced and creative director to join the team from the development stage through full production. This project aims to create a market-facing piece designed to strengthen a brand’s portfolio ahead of its official launch. The production team is looking for a director with strong creative vision and the ability to take ownership of the project, contributing original ideas and direction rather than simply executing a brief.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative direction from development through production
- Collaborate with the production team to shape the project’s vision and storytelling
- Oversee execution of the commercial project to meet creative and strategic goals
- Provide innovative input and maintain creative authority throughout the process
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the final product aligns with brand objectives
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a director with a strong portfolio
- Demonstrated creative vision and leadership skills
- Ability to contribute original ideas and guide a project independently
- Must be based in or able to work locally in the Greater Toronto Area
- Portfolio submission is mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation:
- $15,000–$20,000 CAD (project funding allocation)
