Diverse Voices is a performing art in education charity providing arts-based education, furthering young people’s life skills and confidence, and addressing relevant, topical issues prioritized within schools and educational settings.
We work with a pool of freelance facilitators and creatives annually, providing paid roles and opportunities in our education programs. We are looking to recruit a wide variety of new facilitators to work with.
We are actively seeking people with a passion for the arts with equal amounts of creativity, patience, experience & energy. Diverse Voices encourages applications from currently under-represented people, particularly in terms of ethnic and disability diversity.
The following is required:
– Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 2-3 years (as of February 2023) – or if not, willingness to undergo DBS check
– Desire to work in locations in London and Greater London
– Reliability and punctuality
– Experience in working with young people
– Experience in performing arts
– Open and willing to learn new skills and have fun
We are looking for a varied group of actors, facilitators, dancers, musicians, and creatives from a wide variety of backgrounds – and would especially like to encourage facilitators who identify as male or non-binary to apply.
Our roles vary from a few hours for a workshop/performance (plus training/rehearsal) to more permanent 7-week commitments. They are all paid functions supported by our core team – including workshops & safeguarding training, and more.
We are looking for creatives with professionalism, empathy, energy, and passion for successfully supporting our children and young people.

Job Description
An exciting new stage production is seeking experienced actors to join its upcoming theatrical run. The production is looking for dedicated performers who can fully commit to an extensive rehearsal and performance schedule. Both principal and understudy opportunities may be available, offering actors the chance to collaborate closely with the creative team and bring compelling characters to life on stage.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform assigned roles in a professional stage production.
- Participate fully in scheduled rehearsals and performances.
- Learn scripts, blocking, character work, and other required performance material.
- Collaborate professionally with directors, cast members, and the production team.
- Follow creative direction and contribute to the development of the production.
- Understudies will participate in the complete rehearsal process and perform on selected show nights.
Requirements
- Previous acting experience is required.
- Strong stage performance and character-development skills.
- Must be able to commit fully to the rehearsal and performance schedule.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work collaboratively with an ensemble.
- Understudy performers must be prepared to participate in the full rehearsal process.
