Diverse Voices is a performing art in education charity providing arts-based education, furthering young people’s life skills and confidence, and addressing relevant, topical issues prioritized within schools and educational settings. 

We work with a pool of freelance facilitators and creatives annually, providing paid roles and opportunities in our education programs. We are looking to recruit a wide variety of new facilitators to work with.

We are actively seeking people with a passion for the arts with equal amounts of creativity, patience, experience & energy. Diverse Voices encourages applications from currently under-represented people, particularly in terms of ethnic and disability diversity.

The following is required:

– Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 2-3 years (as of February 2023) – or if not, willingness to undergo DBS check
– Desire to work in locations in London and Greater London
– Reliability and punctuality
– Experience in working with young people
– Experience in performing arts
– Open and willing to learn new skills and have fun

We are looking for a varied group of actors, facilitators, dancers, musicians, and creatives from a wide variety of backgrounds – and would especially like to encourage facilitators who identify as male or non-binary to apply.

Our roles vary from a few hours for a workshop/performance (plus training/rehearsal) to more permanent 7-week commitments. They are all paid functions supported by our core team – including workshops & safeguarding training, and more.

We are looking for creatives with professionalism, empathy, energy, and passion for successfully supporting our children and young people.

Theatre Actors for Noel Coward’s Private Lives

Job Description
A stage production of Noel Coward’s Private Lives is casting two roles for an upcoming tour. This is a fantastic opportunity for professional actors with strong comedic skills to perform in a classic play directed by Amy Gavin, with performances scheduled at Hope Mill Theatre and The Dukes Theatre, Lancaster.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform as one of the lead characters in Private Lives

  • Collaborate with the director and cast during rehearsals

  • Deliver strong comedic timing and physical comedy on stage

  • Participate in promotional photoshoots and press opportunities

  • Perform in multiple theatre venues during the production’s run

Requirements

  • Male actor (30s–40s, any ethnicity) for the role of Elyot Chase: a wealthy, divorced man who encounters his ex-wife while honeymooning with his new bride. Must excel in farce and physical comedy.

  • Female actor (20s, any ethnicity) for the role of Sibyl Chase: a lively and energetic first-time bride on honeymoon with Elyot. Requires strong comedic skills and confidence in physical performance.

  • Availability for in-person casting, photoshoot, rehearsals, and full performance schedule

  • Strong comedic presence with comfort in farce and physical theatre

Compensation

  • £2,000 flat fee per performer

  • £200 weekly subs provided during Lancaster performances

Casting Call for Dark Comedy Musical

Job Description
An upcoming dark comedy musical is seeking strong performers with vocal, comedic, and physical acting skills for lead and supporting roles. This pilot production blends humor, ambition, and twisted storytelling, offering actors the chance to take on bold, complex characters. Rehearsals begin mid-September with performances scheduled through the fall.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform lead or supporting roles with strong comedic timing and stage presence

  • Deliver powerful vocal or dance performances as required by role

  • Collaborate with cast and creative team to develop dynamic characters

  • Commit to rehearsal and filming schedule while maintaining professionalism

Requirements

  • Male Lead (Chester): Age 40–55, strong vocal and comedy acting, psychopathic evil boss

  • Female Lead (Heather): Age 25–35, strong vocal and comedy acting, ambitious, quirky, unhinged

  • Female Role (Polly): Age 25–35, strong physical and comedy acting, Chester’s PA/mistress

  • Male Variety: Age 20–60, strong vocal or dancing with comedy acting, multiple roles

  • Female Variety: Age 20–60, strong vocal or dancing with comedy acting, multiple roles

  • All abilities and experience levels welcome; must be available for rehearsals Thursdays 6–9 PM and Sundays 2–5 PM

Compensation

  • Initial pilot is unpaid; once signed, production will be salaried for a series

  • Opportunity for long-term casting in a developing stage project
