Associate Producer
About the Role
Apex is hiring an Associate Producer for an 18 month remote contract.
This Producer will work with a AAA Racing Game Studio in Redmond, WA. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, customer obsessed Associate Producer. We need a leader who understands the technology to build automation infrastructure and pipeline production workflows that will ensure the flawless execution of our titles.
Ideal candidates will aim to serve the team and its customers as a grounded and organized leader. Using effective communication skills, collaborative problem-solving, and data-driven decision making, candidates will drive customer focus, team priorities, and track project progress.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture and implementation of developer workflows and automated validation systems used across the studio
- Collaborate with our tools teams to modernize the way we build and validate content and also partner with our engine team on performance and stability analysis systems
- Manage the planning, scheduling, assigning, and tracking of detailed tasks and dependencies
- Manage well-defined features as they move through the development pipeline
- Define clear milestone goals, in collaboration with project leaders, that align with studio-wide development timelines
- Identify, track, and resolve cross-team risks and dependencies with the help of team leads and stakeholders
- Identify issues blocking such as process bottlenecks on your team and the studio, and work with others to ensure they are solved in a timely manner
- Advocate and defend clear and realistic production plans to implement the vision for each project while staying within scope
- Communicate effectively and clearly establish the plan of record
- Maintain positive and collaborative customer relationships between your team and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Has one or more years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with developer workflows, pipeline and automation frameworks and infrastructure
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross discipline leads (Designers, Engineers, Artists, Producers, etc.) to achieve production plans that work for all disciplines
- Knowledge of agile development practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and project software tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Shotgun, or industry equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal skills: Listen and communicate with empathy
- Strong communication and cross-team development skills
- Strong analytical mind and experience working with project and customer datasets
- Able to identify and resolve conflicts with projects and coworkers in a clear, respectful, and efficient manner
- Passion for games and a drive to create amazing AAA game Experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer Science degree and project management training
- Familiar with game development processes and disciplines
- Understanding of gaming culture and what makes a high-quality game
- Experience with live operations and running Games as a Service
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems
- Ready and willing to receive and address constructive feedback
- AAA game development experience

Compensation

Production Assistant: $220/12

Camera Operator/Drone: $650/12 + $150 drone kit fee
