Job Description
A feature film is casting recurring musicians (18+) to portray members of the “St. Opal Carolers,” a group featured throughout the movie. Filming will take place in Slidell, Louisiana, and selected talent must be fully available for all scheduled shoot dates to maintain continuity. This is a paid on-camera opportunity for musicians of all skill levels who are comfortable performing in a cinematic setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform as part of a recurring musical group in the film

• Play your instrument naturally and confidently on camera

• Maintain continuity across multiple filming dates

• Follow direction from the director and production team

• Be prepared for full-day shoots

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must be available for all scheduled filming dates

• Comfortable playing one or more of the following instruments:

  • Acoustic guitar

  • Stand-up bass

  • Mandolin

  • Banjo

  • Fiddle

  • Percussion

  • Keyboard

  • Viola

  • Cello

• All musicians welcome to submit

• Must be local to or able to work in Slidell, LA

• Provide headshot and full-body photo (instrument photos a plus)

Compensation

• $300 for 12 hours

• Paid recurring role in a feature film

• Professional film credit and on-set experience

Musicians for Feature Film Flashback Scene

Job Description
A feature film is now casting musicians (all skill levels, 18+) to appear on camera as part of a lead character’s backup band in a 2001 flashback scene. Filming will take place in Slidell, Louisiana. Producers are seeking performers who are comfortable playing instruments on screen and bringing authentic live-band energy to a nostalgic early-2000s setting. Individual musicians and full bands are welcome to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform as part of a backup band in a filmed flashback scene

• Play your instrument naturally and confidently on camera

• Follow direction from the production team

• Maintain continuity during multiple takes

• Be available for the scheduled filming date

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Comfortable performing on camera
