Job Title: Territory Sales Manager
Reports To: VP of Sales
General Overview:
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and providing technical application support for all Benetech products in the assigned territory of Western Texas (west of I-35) & Southeastern New Mexico. This role involves direct sales efforts, collaboration with distributors, and managing channel partners.
Sales Priorities:
Acquiring new Benetech customers and promoting CONVEYOR COMPONENTS, chemicals, and large-scale projects for Benetech’s other Total Dust Management product lines.
Focus on selling Benetech products to heavy material handling industries outside of coal, including Steel, Cement, Aggregate and Sand, Pulp, Sawmills, Ports and Terminals.
Managing existing accounts by leveraging relationships to increase sales opportunities for new products from the Plant Products and Services Division (CONVEYOR COMPONENTS), the Total Dust Management (TDM) portfolio, and Chemical Dust Suppression. Promoting awareness and sales of Benetech Plant Professional’s services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Qualify and generate project proposals for new business opportunities.
• Develop contacts across different functional areas within new and existing accounts to ensure Benetech is always top-of-mind.
• Utilize sales and industry knowledge to sell Benetech’s complete range of products and services,
focusing on TDM and CONVEYOR COMPONENTS portfolio, to new and existing
customers/prospects in the assigned territory.
• Actively seek opportunities in industries where Benetech traditionally has not been a major
player.
• Schedule and conduct sales calls with the existing customer base and new prospects.
• Provide technical application solutions and manage these efforts for end users.
• Manage relationships with existing customer accounts to maintain and grow business.
• Maintain a sales funnel to facilitate consistent closure of business.
• Provides accurate and timely weekly reports to the Supervisor outlining activities and updating
pipeline opportunities.
• Utilize Benetech’s CRM package, SalesForce.com, to report, track, and document all aspects of
selling activity, from lead generation to closure and follow-up.
• Obtain and familiarize yourself with all plant schematics in the assigned territory.
• Act as an intermediary between Benetech and customers to coordinate customer service issues.
• Meet or exceed sales performance metrics
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary, as directed by management.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
• The position requires general mobility throughout the facility and customer work sites.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory on a weekly basis (80% travel).
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Ability to operate/use:
• Computer and other General Office Equipment.
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
• College degree or equivalent long-term industry experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in technical or industrial sales.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and technical sales skills.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Strong overall business knowledge
