SUMMARY
The Creative Director drives the overall brand voice and creative content for the company both internally and externally. This role manages an internal team and leads creative strategy, design, and execution of the company’s brand vision at all consumer, trade, and business to business (B2B) touchpoints ensuring that concept, art direction and design are on-brand and on-strategy.
JOB DUTIES
- Deliver integrated campaigns and thoughtful design solutions that balance the brand story with seasonal product initiatives across website, social, email, blog, events, retail, print.
- Deliver brand photography in alignment with brand plan, product storytelling and seasonal initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a highly organized and detailed manner.
- Lead cross-functional alignment on key campaign launch moments and seasonal business priorities in market.
- Oversee the creation of product-driven narratives that showcase brand innovation and other unique points of difference (POD).
- Responsible for trade show and retail displays, designs, and layouts.
- Translate product launches and initiatives to trade audience and key stakeholders for sales meetings, materials development, and sales tools.
- Drive ongoing creative partnership with Brand Marketing and eCommerce teams to maximize long-term potential of seasonal content and story flow(s).
- Ensure seasonal consistency in voice and tone across multiple categories working collaboratively and providing leadership with various internal areas.
- Drive cross functional efficiencies and effective brand marketing engagement to optimize internal/external resourcing, managing external agencies and vendors.
- Closely manage budget to ensure efficiency and investment optimization.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certification in Fine Arts, Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- Eight (8) years of professional creative experience, with a focus on high quality design and content in premium consumer and e-commerce environments
- Experience building a high-performance creative team.
- Experience in multi-channel campaigns, digital and print advertising, retail, packaging, wholesale fixturing and POP, web design and usability.
- Knowledgeable of Global Marketing
- Skilled in Adobe Suite, as well as Microsoft Suite
- Trained sensitivity to graphic design constraints
- Expertise in managing external partners, agencies, and free-lancers.
- Highly organized with good project management skills. Able to juggle multiple, and sometimes, conflicting priorities and needs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Successful track record leading a team; able to delegate, coach, mentor and provide effective direction and feedback.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills; able to build effective relationships with stakeholders across organizational levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of people management in creative and/or studio environments
- Ten (10) years of professional creative experience, with a focus on high quality design and content in premium consumer and e-commerce environments
