Position Summary

The Creative Director and Event Producer serves as a lead creative and visual storyteller for a variety of client projects while collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of creative professionals from design and video. This position helps drive the creative vision for our academic and academic medical institution partners in order to achieve their strategic fundraising goals and objectives.

 

The Creative Director and Event Producer should have knowledge that ranges across the creative disciplines and should have a working understanding of any software relevant to their field, including graphic design, video editing, project management, and related marketing tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage workflow, priorities, and multiple projects and campaign events simultaneously.
  • Work strategically with a team of cross-functional creative professionals for graphic design, photography, and video.
  • Set and meet long term project deadlines while adapting to immediate demands.
  • Lead, create, and execute innovative creative concepts for major fundraising campaign events.
  • Review or assist in developing client proposals.
  • Facilitate creative project kickoffs and planning meetings.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with creative teams.
  • Oversee daily tasks tied to creative production.
  • Troubleshoot issues that could slow down the process.
  • Provide analysis to ensure the project stays within client brand standards.
  • Suggest changes to workflows to improve efficiencies and remain on budget.
  • Present creative work to clients and stakeholders to inspire confidence and gain buy-in.
  • Support brand positioning and marketing strategy to elevate visibility and awareness of our services.
  • Stay current with the latest industry, style, and creative trends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Performs 8 hours of an 8-hour day in a sitting or standing position behind a desk when in an office setting.
  • Travels up to 50% time for client sales engagements and business development conferences and will include a combination of standing, walking, and sitting during travel to client location. Note that some trips may include leaving or returning on weekends.
  • Operates computer equipment.
  • Occasionally lifts 10-20 lbs. (e.g., boxes, materials).

Cognitive Requirements

  • Ability to apply creative skills for internal and client-facing projects.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Work Environment

While performing duties of this position in the office, the employee will be in an office setting, with moderate to low noise level. During company travel, may encounter a variety of weather conditions.

This position may qualify for a flexible work arrangement.

Work Schedule

The employee typically works Monday-Friday with hours between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. CT but may be required to work/travel some evenings and weekends to meet client requirements.
