MBX is looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to support and execute our social media & influencer marketing strategies, including channel management, community engagement, content creation and influencer marketing. You’ll play an integral part in the development, execution and launch of short and long-term marketing campaigns, utilizing the fundamentals of communication through content creation, presentation, analysis, review, and reporting. You are an excellent communicator with strong (yet succinct) writing skills, an ability to easily and authentically adopt a brand’s voice, and a keen understanding of the current social media landscape. You must be a flexible and creative self-starter who is able to work within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and support multiple projects at once.
This position will report to the NA General Manager and work closely with creative, influencer, product development, sales & legal teams in our LA office.
What you will do:
● Manage day-to-day publishing and community management across all social media channels for our brands: I Dew Care and Kaja Beauty
● Create, develop and edit compelling, high-quality social photo and video content and/or graphic assets as needed
● Write compelling copy for daily social content and captions based on brand voice
● Work cross-functionality with other teams to highlight any promotions and sales on social for any social driven activations and working closely with retail team on any partnership decks and opportunities
● Assist in the development and maintenance of the cross-brand social media calendar, updating the calendar with relevant cultural events and significant information
● Work with in-house and contract photographers, videographers and graphic designers to create original content that’s fresh, relevant, disruptive and seasonal
● Help manage influencer relationships and campaigns from start to finish, ensuring key timelines and requirements are met. Actively scout for new faces and emerging talent, and keep abreast of who is tagging us, reposting viable content and engaging with them.
● Report on goals for our social media and influencer marketing strategies, tying key metrics back to core business objectives
● Collaborating with other brands for potential social giveaways
● Stay on top of key industry trends, emerging social channels and best practices
● Research and report on competitors and industry leaders in the social media space
● Assist in developing an ongoing social content strategy and defining presence on social
● Work closely with Marketing team to schedule social content per platform, and editorial newsletters to our Memebox community
● Administrative support for the Marketing team and their ongoing projects
● Identify and communicate risk in projects/programs early so that mitigation steps can be taken

● Live and breathe social media with an always-on mentality; passionate user of digital technologies & knowledge of social media best practices – you’ve worked with social media management tools before.
● A deep understanding of the ins and outs and latest and greatest of all prime social media platforms – TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat and how to create platform-specific content for these channels.
● You have a high attention to detail & quality, with the ability to develop stories and visual content around the brand and its respective products.
● Experience with using audience insights, test and learn results, and data insights to develop and optimize content. Prior experience with Tribe Dynamics is a huge plus!
● Ability to give insightful and strategic creative feedback to cross-functional teams – can craft decks and present back key learnings and takeaways.
● Naturally communicative and willing to get up from your desk to make things happen!
● Organized, collected, respectful and willing and able to work with a team of super talented people, both independently as well as part of a team
● 3+ years experience working within social media, preferably with significant exposure to creative development for social-specific content
● Self-starter who is comfortable owning and driving projects involving multiple deliverables to tight deadlines
● Team player who likes to break down processes and problem solve
● Well versed in G-Suite, Smartsheet, and Asana
● Previous start-up experience strongly preferred
