Group Creative Director
Manage the overall creative direction of their respective brands and play a pivotal role in driving the creative direction of their team/group. A leader who can grow young talent, inspire a team, foster a healthy work culture and inject innovative thinking into every assignment. Responsible for providing the kind of oversight that will lead projects into new creative territories. A strong strategic thinker ready to be hands-on during all phases of a project from concept to execution. Reports to the Chief Creative Officer.
Responsibilities
• Manage the direction of projects and clearly present strategic and creative direction to the team and client
• Set the creative vision for their group of brands and ensure effective creative development and executional brilliance
• Oversee and work with teams to develop a wide range of outstanding creative concepts and ideas to ensure the creative execution supports the brand strategy
• Provide creative leadership by setting high creative standards for their group/team and deliver against agency creative standards
• Collaborate with strategic and account leads to help set insightful direction on their assigned brands and clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and leverages those relationships to sell inspired and “famously effective” creative solutions
• Lead, develop, mentor, and inspire their team to create smart and “famously effective” work
• Provide guidance regarding career paths and development for their direct reports
• Develop and guide strategic creative solutions, from concept to execution
• Build and maintain stellar working relationships with clients, agency leadership, and cross-functional agency teams
• Participate in new business pitches and represent our creative capabilities
• Remain current on industry trends, pop culture, and technology
Requirements
• 10 + years of industry experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record of agency success
• 4 + years in a creative leadership role
• Bachelor’s degree in Advertising or equivalent
• Agency experience working across all channels
• Strong creative portfolio highlighting relevant/category experience
• Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients
• Knowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising, and digital experiences, with proven conceptual abilities
• Experience working with large teams in a client-facing role
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
