What you get to do:

  • Creating characters to startle and scare guests at SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream Orlando.
  • Consistently performing the same scare repetitively throughout the night of the event (some scare positions may involve strenuous physical activity).

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM on most event nights and during some rehearsals.
  • Availability for majority of event nights. Availability will be one factor used in determining employment offer and/or role placement.
  • Previous performance experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Many but not all positions require wearing make-up (provided by SeaWorld). Some positions require wearing a mask (provided by SeaWorld).
  • Costumes for characters will be provided by SeaWorld and will remain the property of SeaWorld.
  • Ability to perform assigned character for up to 3 hours at a time. Performance may include standing, walking or other strenuous physical activity.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform the following physical activities on a frequent basis: stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat, bend floor- to- waist/waist-to-overhead and reach overhead, simple grasp and fine manipulation tasks.
  • Position may be exposed to heat/cold temperature extremes, chemical, fumes/dust/odor, atmospheric lighting strobe/dim lighting.

Parker Whitaker is currently staffing for the World of Prom at the AmericasMart. They are looking for fashion show dressers and showroom assistants to join their staff teams.

Parker Whitaker is currently seeking some new team members for this coming July 30- August 5 and is currently interviewing for the following roles:

Showroom Assistant:
Assist to unpack/pack up collection, assist to set up/break down showroom, open boxes, maintain cleanliness and organization of showroom during the day, sweep and clean floors/stages/runways, restock pencils/pens/papers/order forms, printing, make runs as needed, order lunch, organize supplies, assist designer team/showroom manager with anything they need, rehang dresses, return dresses to racks, take out trash, clean up food areas, serve guests food items/apps upon request [the assistants are there to help throughout the day as needed.

Steamer:
(should have experience with steaming formal gowns), Steam and re-steam dresses, hang dresses in order of runway lineup, assist to unpack/pack up collection, assist to set up/break down showroom, hang dresses/wardrobe, assist Showroom Director as needed.

Dresser:
Assist to unpack collection, hang dresses/wardrobe, steam and re-steam dresses, hang dresses in order of runway lineup, dress & style models, apply quick changes during any runway show(s), rehang dresses, re-organize runway show collection, reset/clean/maintain an orderly backstage, dress models during showtime hours for buyers requesting certain dresses off the rack to see on a model, returning dresses to racks, packing up collection, organizing shoes/accessories, help maintain organized showroom racks, assist with ensuring showroom is clean and organized throughout the day.

RATE $16/HR
For 4hr shifts, receive one paid 15-min break
For 6hr or more shifts, receive one meal, one unpaid 30min meal break, and 2 paid 15-min breaks

Position Overview

The MediaLab Creative Producer applies insights to create meaningful and immersive event experiences, with responsibility for conceptual development through final design and execution – integrating theatrical sets, audio and video materials and content for meetings, special events, conferences and expositions. This role would support the opportunity engagement process from proposal to presentation to development of program to execution, identifying creative solutions and leverage technologies to create experiences that will set our brand and program delivery apart in the marketplace.

This position is responsible for driving creative revenue growth in-market through partnering and coaching Encore’s sales team on creative solution offerings. This role leads cross functional collaboration with account, product, and creative teams and will lead the team to ideate, create, and present unique and inspired experiences. This position has regular interaction with clients, sales and production professionals working on multiple projects under tight deadlines. In addition, plays a strong sales support role for Creative resources and solutions throughout the organization. This role reports into Dir, Creative Strategy.

Key Job Responsibilities

Business Development/Achieving Results

  • Support the development of new business in-market.
  • Provide partnership with sales by supportingEncore Client Direct and Venue Sales Channels in-market with a heavy focus on significantly growing creative revenue.
  • Participate in RFPs, proposal responses and client interactions for assigned projects.
  • Represent Encore Production in client-facing meetings and presentations promoting Encores creative solutions to events, conferences and expositions.
  • Partner with Sales on the development of presentation materials, directing the focus on brand adherence, message and content.

Creative/Art Direction

  • Provide client interaction and participation in client discovery meetings.

  • Work to ensure the project vision falls in line with client objectives, from budget evaluation and concept development through the presentation of design solutions.

  • Stay current on the latest design trends and techniques.

Media Production

  • Build budgets for media projects in the quoting phase and track budget changes and revisions throughout the project. Stipulate resources, roles, hardware and hours needed to complete the project including cost estimates.
  • Manage project-based show documentation & media grids.
  • Collaborate with Encore MediaLab, show producers and technical directors on media projects/deliverables related to their shows. Confirm expectations are in line and technical specs, pixel count, aspect ratio, etc. is correct.
  • Cultivate and maintain a network of freelance and vendor resources to accommodate project schedule and bandwidth constraints of full time Encore staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equilavanet combination of education & experience– Art, Design, Graphics; or related field
  • Design background and experience where aesthetics is important
  • 5+ years related experience, preferably in an agency or event production setting
  • Visual and conceptual design, color theory, identity and branding experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of traditional design processes related to production deliverables

Work Environment

The event will be with one of CLD PR’s clients, Celsius (IG: @CelsiusOfficial). Celsius is an energy drink

We will need interns for Tuesday, July 19th, Wednesday, July 20th, Thursday, July 21st, and Friday, July 22th 2022.

July 19th: We will need about 5 people to arrive at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami from 10am-6:30pm. This will include having event set-up, inventory of event related stock, running errands, admin assistance, and any other event setup items needed. Attire will be comfortable clothes.

July 20th: We will need 8 people with a call time from 10am – 7pm. This will include inventory of event related stock, running errands, admin assistance, loading the u-haul, etc. Attire will be comfortable clothes

July 21st: The day of the event! Shift one:

We will need 6 people with a call time from 10am – 6:30pm. This includes loading guests onto shuttles, assisting with room drops, organizing event stock/related products, etc. Day of event dress code will to be wearing ALL WHITE (nothing revealing/comfortable shoes.)

Shift two: We will need 22 people with a call time from 12pm – 12am. This includes unloading U Haul, assist with all event set up, steam clothes, replenishing clothing racks, maintaining the overall cleanliness of the event, retrieving guests selections, loading U Haul of post event supplies, etc. Day of event dress code will to be wearing ALL WHITE (nothing revealing/comfortable shoes.)

July 22nd: We will need 5 people with a call time from 10am-5pm. Responsibilities include unloading the U Haul, organizing post event assets, running errands, admin assistance, etc. Attire will be comfortable clothes.

Ideally we would love to have you work multiple days so you can help setup and experience the event. However, if you are only able to help with one day, that is fine as well. However priority will be given to those who are able to work multiple days and if you are able to work only one day we will do our best to have you be able to work the fun part (actual event time), but we do have to plan according to need so we can’t guarantee that you will work the event if not available for both days. Feel free to share this with friends and family who would be interested in gaining some PR and event experience.
